I know its none of my business, but I had a good idea for a mascot that would work for you. Tales from Sonic!! In the first 3D one his theme song talked about him wanting to fly high. Just a suggestion.

I made the models myself (well except the first airhships in the second and third row, which were made from a free zepplin model I got from 3dCafe) in Bryce 5, with some parts made in Open FX and imported into Bryce.... These airships are for various Civilization III projects...

Top row is (L-R): Generic Final Fantasy style (FF IV/earlier) Steam powered airship, The Red Wings from IV (None of the pics I could find were that great, IV being a 16-bit game, so I just used some artistic license), and the Hilda Garde III from FF IX.
Second Row is (L-R): Prototype sci-fi/fantasy airship (the first 3D animated thingy I ever made), the Production model sci-fi/fantasy airship, and the Highwind from FF VII
Third row is (L-R): The Brotherhood of Steel airship from Fallout (this was requested for the Fallout Civ III mod), the Gelnika from FF VII, and the Imperial Sky Armor from VI.

If you want me to render any of these from a different angle, and with an actual background, just say the word.

Good point. Not to mention, Red Mages are a bit of jacks-of-all-trades and masters-of-none, meaning their spells aren't advanced enough to cast Float.

So there's no flying ships unless you're in KH's Neverland, and even then you need Tinker Bell to make things fly, and Tink likes Hot Air Balloons. ^^
