I want him to start playing FFXI so we can get married and my character can get a pretty dress and a ring, but he refuses to get the game and all he wants to do is play girly games like FFX-2.

I wouldn't mind, but it would hardly be the be-all and end-all when looking for a partner. I mean, seriously, most girls in our age-range these days are becoming gamers anyway, so it's not like it's a huge narrow-down.

I would be more concerned about other things and would be happily willing to sacrifice "gamer" for "able to commit" because I'm pretty sure there are more of the former than the latter, at least in the age range I'm in.
