We can use both, but I prefer to use colour and we don't get points deducted here if we spell is the lazy way either. Yes, color is the lazy way because you all just don't want to use an extra keystroke.![]()

Owen made this sig. R.I.P.

I use Color. I would say because its how i was taught but I also say Armour over Armor and I was taught the second, so maybe I'm just crazy like that.
I like colour but i'm to lazy to spell it XD

I spell it Colour. It kinda annoys me how Americans take our language, change a few letters, and then call it their own.
"I speak AMERICAN". No, really, you don't. You speak english.
Colour. I spell it the British (aka CORRECT) way of spelling it, so I'm better than you!![]()
uhhhhhh Americans dont exactly "take" the language. America started from English people, so English is the native language. And, In my four years of living here, I've never heard anyone say they speak "American"Originally Posted by Zeldy

This topic made me look at the words color and colour so long I stopped being able to recognize them and wondered if they were miss-spelled. But I was taught colour.
Wow, indeed. A glimmer of hope for the public education system.Originally Posted by Carrot Cake

Frankly, I don't care about how I spell it. I think it is quite stupid that your teacher took off points for saying "colour" instead of "color". If she fails to recognize both as legitimate spellings, then I have doubts about how your teacher got their job.
