A hell of a lot more often than I thought, after a quick check. Although a fair amount of those are in the various staff forums or to do with other such things as feedback for the FanArt gallery etc... but yeah, I make them often enough, I guess.

I don't make threads often, and very rarely do I make them in General Chat. Lounge and Gaming section, usually.

I make very few non staff forum threads.

In fact, my last four threads in general chat were birthday threads for smittenkitten, Anaisa, Sapphiresea, and rubah. Before, that, way back in November, I made a thread titled "I have a spoon in my nose."

I think I'll make a general chat thread today.

I don't make threads. But for some reason, my posts are usually the last one in a thread before it sinks into oblivion, with no chance of being revived. Not closed by a CK, but just going away, unclosed, into the database archives.
