I have to agree with oddler. My favourites are all earth tones. Browns, greens, golds. Although I do own a lot of black as well.

Technically, black is the lack of color when dealing with light. The abundance of color when using physical coloring. havin color is opaque, or opacity.

Just because black is dark, doesn't make it colour-less. If black was colour-less, it would be devoid of pigment, which it isn't.

Black is a colour! If black wasn't a colour it wouldn't contain pigment. Pigment is colouring matter. If something contains colouring matter, it is a colour.
