Blood Stones

At the Desert Palace, I've already tried 4 times to find all Blood Stones, but I simply can't -.- Though, what does them do? (I think it's to get the boss, that floating strange tomb, weaker, but I'm not sure...)

Light every single candle and they'll appear. Eventually you'll get it. If not, use a guide somewhere.

If you collect them all, not only do you get some items, but it also disables Valia Pira in a sense. Before you fight it, it attempts to boost all it's stats. Without bloodstones, it fails to do this.

Bloodstones are good.

Also, when you activate a bloodstone, if you go to check it you don't actually receive a "Bloodstone" (like something called a "Bloodstone" in your item list), you receive equipment of some kind. You get the following items if you activate all the bloodstones and check them:

Promist Ring
Anklet
Shield Armor
N-Kai Armlet
Black Hood
Venetia Shield
(I think that's all of them)
