God, how I love and respect you.

I played FF4 (or FF2, I guess) for the SNES, renting it from Blockbuster every weekend. My brothers and I could not beat the Magus Sisters in the Tower of Zot (because we didn't think to kill the fat one first) and then we moved away, leaving block buster and our save file behind.

We bought FF1 for the NES and loved every difficult and trying second of it. We rented FF2 some more around 1996/7, and made it to Zeromus, but got aced by his superior technique, Mortal Attack Blizzard Fist, also known as "Big Bang". I didn't actually beat Zeromus until about 6 years ago.

Then FF3 happened to me. I haven't been the same since. So MANY nights up until the sun came up. That's what the weekends were for, back then. We ALWAYS stayed up all night playing that game. It was the most surreal gaming experience that I've ever been part of.

I genuinely mourn for those who didn't play FF games until FF8 or 9. I guess that 7 was really good, but it had NOTHING on 6. NOTHING. Not even close.
