You must put a lot of emphasis on hope then. I hope I'll be rich someday, I hope I'll get a million dollars in five seconds, but I won't care if I don't. I don't see why people have to be devastated every time something they hope happens doesn't happen. You just go "Oh well" and move on.
What do you intend on doing in the future? Surely you must hope that your children grow up safely, for example.

Yeah, I do. I hope childeren grow up safe and sound. It is not a goal of mine - it is just something that I do. If they didn't it would be a dissapointment. I avoid goals, because they are just too closely related to failure to meet a deadline. I hope to do a lot with my life, but I purposely stray away from setting goals so that I can allow myself the freedom to not feel obligated to fufil them, should somthing else come up. I guess you could say I am no goalie. *slaps knee*

I see no downside of having a goal and, should things change, being able to simply change those goals accordingly. Therefore I have complete freedom too. *shrugs* Guess it's just a case of labelling something. I want to do something? That, to me, means it's a goal of mine. Just because I want to do something doesn't mean I'll be upset if I don't, though.
