I think that many people are from either America or England.

Since the forums are in English, those nations (as well as many other English-speaking countries) would be more inclined to join. Whereas other non-English-speaking countries (France, Germany, Russia, Japan) would probably would join forums in their native languages.

Well, I'm a quebecer (french canadian for those who don't know what a quebecer is ) and I joined many english forums and I know a lot of my friends who are in english forums too.
