The first time I played through the game I didn't care for him... at all. I don't know exactly what it was that turned me away from him, but now I really like him. During my last time playing it I discovered that he was actually very good in battle - he has some awesome abilities and he's quite strong. To hell with the fact that he's not a very likeable character. He's cool ad rocks in battle.
