I've only taken Japanese for a year and a half, which is certainly not enough to get me around town for a week. (Maybe if I had a dictionary, but even that is quite debatable.) So I'm just voting "English", rawr.
English, Irish, Papiamento.
I tried French for three years and i still don't know anything.

English is my mother tongue. French is not really a "foreign" language where I was raised. Half the the population is French-Canadian/Acadian. Also, I can read Ancient Greek. Knowing exactly what it says is another thing on of its own (I remember a little of it).
I'm in both French 3 and German 3 this year.
Hmmm... I want to learn Japanese in college, considering public school systems in Arizona don't feel that it's a practical language to learn o_o
I might take Spanish in my senior year if I have an elective available. I'd also like to learn Italian, considering how close to French it is.
I only speak English fluently because it's my native language but I can speak a little bit of Al Bhed and some Sim. *is not a super nerd*
I can speak English, German, and Spanish.
I can also speak a little Korean and Japanese, but defintely not enough to get through a week.

This thread should be renamed "Foreign languages other than English" because all members are sure to know how to speak English because they know how to type them out.
I'm Chinese, so fluent Chinese and Cantonese lah.Good English foundation(English educated when I was a kid) and I pwn everyone in my class with my English paper. Learning Japanese for two months now. Can speak a little but have no idea how to write it out. Malay is the oficial language in my country (along with vivi_ultima, has he had mentioned as well), so it was compulsory to learn it.
English is already a foreign language to me :aimblush:
I can get around town just fine with English and Arabic (ok with local/specific dialicts and "official" Arabic). I learned French for a few years in primary school but I don't remember much of it anymore. I took Japanese for a few semesters as well but that sort of died down as I got too busy with school.
German and English FTW!
English is my second language.
