You should always have a story going.
You should do stand alone comics, like you would see in a newspaper.
Half and half, or whatever you feel like doing.
I don't care how you do it.

The Adventures of Ed Poll
No comic this weeks. Lack of time. Next week I should have it up to make up for it. But I guess this is a good time to put up a poll that I have been thinking of putting up. So yeah, answer it. Keep in mind that whatever "wins" doesn't mean that's the path I will take. I am just interested in knowing what you guys think. Also, fell free to leave additional comments in here to keep the thread going/tell me other stuff.

When the story of The Adventures of Ed is finished you should do what you feel. If you think you can come up with another adventure for Ed then go with it. If you can come up with a better story with some other topic then use that.

If you have a preference, go for it, but most comic strips work better only with small stories (if they have them at all). I find the less story involved, the funnier they are, and with all due respect to ed I don't think his comics would be out there for deep, meaningful, inspiring comments on the world. I prefer ed when he's just being funny.

It would be sufficient to just depict ed relentlessly ruining people's [img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img]. Maybe take <a href="http://www.angryflower.com/compet.gif">a page</a> <a href="http://www.angryflower.com/whipst.gif">or two</a> from Stephen Notley.
You can do what you want, as long as you never stop.
