How to make sure a thread doesn't get any posts
Not that I want it to actually happen but I'm interested in hearing what you people would do to make sure a thread of yours doesn't receive any posts. (without getting it closed) I know you want your threads to get posts but if you were to make a thread that isn't suppose to get posts or get closed how would you do it?
Make a thread about a band or book that nobody has ever heard of. Theres like an 80% chance it wont get posts.

If you have mod-like powers, close the thread imediately after posting. No one can post in the thread (besides the staff) unless the staff opens your thread.
Apparently, I have been declared banished.
Start one in the writters corner ive seen plenty go with no posts before.
Start one about chess.
Start one about dead systems no ones ever heard about.
Make it about some handbag or something you have on sale. What is with those people?

My thread about the hardest FF1 challenges anyone had done - 7 replies only. Ironically enough, someone else made another thread with the exact same premise recently, and probably got more posts.
My thread on the Lonely Island, a group of amateur film makers with really good humorous skits - 3 replies only!
Since then I've made some pretty big threads. One of them almost reached page 5 (for those with other page settings than me, it had 111 replies).
I still don't get why some of my earlier threads didn't get more comments, when similar threads turned out with giant responses.
The better known you are, the more likely you will get replies.

That was probably my problem, even though some of those earlier threads were quite good.
Step One: Be Leeza.
Step Two: Make a thread stating clearly that anyone who posts in it or closes it will be banned.
Step Three: Marvel at my own genius.
