It's sometimes a bit confusing when a guy has a feminine sig/avatar or the other way around, but it doesn't really bother me. Sometimes I'm not sure which gender someone is, but I can still check their user profile, and if their gender isn't told there, I'll probably just use neutral words to refer to his/her gender.
