I switched from BT nearly three years ago after countless problems with my 'Net connection (none of which were ever solved, by the way).

I'm now happy with NTL.

I'm glad with the way my ISP (the university's network) works. It's fast, loading with a speed of about 300 k/sec, even faster with things in the university's LAN, and it doesn't really go down all that often. I'm currently at my parents' place, and I'm not totally sure about this ISP, though it seems to have problems every now and then.

Yeah I was downloading at 420 k/sec last night, which was nice. I wish my upload speed was better than it is, though.

In my experiences whenever you need technical help you always wind up talking to someone with an accent which is hard to understand. Such a struggle is resisting the urge to request to speak to someone else

Yep, if it's not a call center in India, you're speaking to someone from Glasgow or Belfast.

Yep, everytime I phone my ISP we go through the exact same questions, which generally don't get much more complicated than, "Is your modem plugged in?" My home internet is down at the moment, but I really can't face speaking to them.
