Which Major League Baseball Club is your favorite?
I don't really follow it, but John W. Henry owns my favourite football team and he also owns the Red Sox so them by default really.
My Dad's family were from Connecticut and were all huge Yankee fans. My Dad brought me up a baseball fan and I started properly getting into it in my teens.
The first season I followed properly was the 1996 season when we got to the World Series against the Braves. We lost both the opening games at home after Smoltz and Maddux completely shut us down. We then went to Atlanta and won three-in-a-row before coming back to New York to win 4-2. I've been hooked ever since.
I actually stayed up till 3am last night watching Eovaldi pitch a beauty against the Astros. Walk-off 1-0 win. They're showing game two tonight too! Being kept up by a screaming baby has its benefits.
It's always been Mariners.
Always.
Some day we might actually win a World Series
A friend from NYC is a huge Yankee fan and so a few years back we traded: She supports Man Utd and I support the NYY. A fair trade, and while I'm yet to watch a full game I remain true to my word and will support them till I DIE!
Go Yankees!
Wow. 9-0 down and we're only just over halfway through. Baby Bubba has just had a feed so I may join him in going back to sleep as it is 1:45am.
Baseball is a sport that is essentially just a long line of turn-based combat where very little happens. Worst game ever.
Red Sox. But I don't really follow or watch baseball.
When I was in Boston I attended two Red Sox games, so them. Kevin Youkilis, what a man.
Str8 Pimpin'
Blue Jays. smurf the Yankees.
This poll fails without the Chicago baseball team that has actually won something in the last 100 years, while putting Chicago's other team as the very first option. For me, it's the White Sox in the AL, Pirates in the NL. Those are the only two stadiums I've been to recently.
Blue Jays v Yankees four-game series starts in a few hours, Vivi. Getting a bit nervous?
Well, with Rookie Servino pitching for us and Price on the mound for you then yeah... no need to be nervous. Hoping we can win the series 3-1 but a 2-2 split is probably more realistic.
