That's part of what keeps me from getting other people to adopt it. It's a shame, too, because it's people who just can't keep themselves out of trouble on Windows, so I'm fixing their computer every couple o f months as a result of them using it.

Actually, you aren't. It's relatively painless to remove it, too.

I dislike Windows on principle that it's really expensive. Like, $100 for a license that I can only use across three computers, and then I have to buy a new copy. My old Win98SE CD (OEM, at that) let me install unlimited times on unlimited computers. Their licensing scheme just seems a little ridiculous, even though it's in attempt to stop piracy - but really, if I knew I could buy a license and not have it worthless after three installs, I would get a real copy. It's just not economic for me at the current license model.

That's seriously like 2/3s of why I try to use Linux.
