Thread: Trey Parker quotes "Kids in the Hall"

Default Trey Parker quotes "Kids in the Hall"

I'm watching the 9/11 South Park right now. After seeing the south park version of the Hrady Boys I thought, why do they look familiar? Then I realized the face they make is from a couple of Kids in the Hall characters- high school kids.

So anyway, the topic is: who remembers that show? Who remembers their movie "Brain Candy?"

Chris: "That would explain all the gravity."

The head crusher skits. Those are the best. I also really like that skit about that guy that has a list of things to do and he gets abducted by bank robbers.

Yeah, you can't miss with a head crusher skit!

I like the one wear the guy let's his co-worker borrow his pen, and he ends up hanging off of a moving taxi trying to get it back from him.

No, Comedy Central took it off. It was a great show though.

I didn't know that Scott went under Veronica Billingsley (as well as buddy cole) ....

He did an episode of ATHF
Chuck Noblet: Can anyone tell me the tragic irony of the Trojan War? Tina? Tina: Um, that horses are friendly creatures yet a hollow, wooden one was used to destroy Troy? Chuck Noblet: Wrong and no. Anyone else? Chip? Chip: That the mighty warrior Achilles was killed by a small cut to his ankle. Chuck Noblet: Chip is wronger. OK, here it is. The tragic irony of the Trojan War is that though it was fought over Helen, who was young and beautiful, by the time they rescued her ten years later, she was old and ugly. Tina: But wasn't recovering the king's wife reward enough for the Greeks? Chuck Noblet: Tina, an ugly woman is never a reward.

I watched it on the Comedy Network back when I had more than basic cable. Some of the skits were excellent; some were lame. Like a lot of skit shows (Monty Python, SNL, SCTV) some skits are laugh-out-loud hilarious and some are just not funny.
