Heretic Anthem, Before I Forget, Disasterpiece, Iowa...
Just on those 4 tracks alone I think SlipKnot is a helluva lot better then Lamb of God.
Most people these days hate SlipKnot because it is 'cool' to hate SlipKnot when just 5 or 6 years ago the vast majority of people loved 'em.
And why do so many people make a big deal of them wearing masks anyway? They weren't the first band to do it and for their live shows the masks work brilliantly. They are just awesome live.
Well, judging from all of the music I've heard from Slipknot, and it is a lot, I can play guitar, bass, and drums better. Sure, they may be talented musicians in their own right, but their music definitely doesn't reflect it.
Does my opinion count now?
WTF? Why doesn't this post look anything like your other posts?
I actually like his posts with him talking in 3rd person.![]()
Neither, both of them give me huge smurfing headaches.
Owen made this sig. R.I.P.
What bothers me about people liking these bands is that they are not even forming their own tastes truely. They are taking what the media feeds them and saying "This rules, best music ever" when they could easily scratch away some dust from the surface and see the sparkles of bands such as Bolt Thrower and Overcast.
The problem is, not with the person liking the band, but the fact that they listen to the band because they don't know anything else and because that is what is popular and therefore easy to listen to.
Music is an artform that demands respect, and simply letting the money hungry radio and music television networks feed you what they want you to hear is a gross disrespect to the artform that music is.
Here's a little hint as to who I voted for:
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant; "If I live, I will kill you. If I die, you are forgiven." Such is the rule of HONOR.
