And I can survive Countess runs: my only qualm with them is that they take forever...

I remember reading somewhere that you have an 90% chance of a Thul or lower drop in Hell, 9% of Amn - Shael and 1% of anything above that, with a Fal or Lem being the highest she'll drop. These might not be 100% accurate, but from my experience in doing Countess runs, they seem to be fairly accurate. So your chance of finding high runes or finding mid-runes to transmute into higher runes are slim. But then again, you always have the chance of getting a Terror Key from her, so it's not all bad.

You think Pul, Um, or Dol will get me anywhere? These are the highest runes I have...
Oh, and I have Natalya's Odium and Tal Rasha's Horadric Crest and a Dwarf Star Ring. Those are the highest items I'd be willing to give up.

I've several games lately with people needing Pul's, so be patient and you can probably trade it up. Um has a chance too, but Dol is too low to do much of anything with.

Reading through some of these later posts, it fills me with a little bit of pride seeing how we've got an elite D2 group of EoFFers.

I'm tired of Cows, Meph and Baal now, so I've decided to start doing Countess, Summoner and Nihlathak runs for keys.

Indeed. If only we could maintain recruiting, we would be expanding, as well. Assuming you can survive Nihlathak, you should be able to get some DKeys; however, the Keys only have a 1/5 chance of dropping (the real odds are slightly less). You can get keys faster if you join public games and hunt them there, but that would be very difficult in certain occassions.

Well, now you have Enigma, should make things go faster.

Pul might get you somewhere, but I would save it for Hoto, since that should replace your Spirit Sword. Um is a high rune, so you can trade equally for those that you need. Dol is too low. The best you can do with that is use it in a Runeword, or hope you can trade it for a Hel rune.

Depending on the set part of her Odium, prices will vary. Nat's Armor is a Hel or Pul, the Helm is Pul, the Weapon is a high rune, and the boots are worth an El. Tal's Mask can vary, since there are alot of Sorceresses on Battle.net. The +Life and +res are nice, but they can be found rather easily, especially at Hell Travincal (I remember tossing quite a few). Dwarf star is useless, maybe a Hel, but I would not count on it.

Assuming you can survive Nihlathak...

I'm a summoner with corpse explosion so I stay out of the way and either revive or explode the corpses before he can do anything with them. I actually have more problems with the Serpent Magus and their 16 hit bs than I do with Nihlathak.

I believe I read that having more people in your group with up those chance. By how much I don't know. I didn't get my trap assassin to act 5 in hell, but if I did then she would kick Nihlathak's ass with death sentry, which can perform corpse explosion much faster and much more often than Nihlathak can. Alas though.

I am doing something tonight and tomorrow night, so I likely won't be back on until Saturday.

Once you get Leo's Wand and Homonculus, you should be able to let go of those Spirit items. For a belt, you can also try to get Arachnid's, which is around nine high runes.

Good god, I would just be swimming in +skills at at that point...

And Darkforce Spawn Bloodlord Skull or the Boneflame Succubus Skull would grant me +3 instead, though the Boneflame's additional mods are somewhat less than satisfactory when compared with the Darkforce of Homunculus. And the Darkforce is insanely rare, I believe.

But when all is said and done, yeah - Homunculus is best.

So, in the end, I could be looking at level 38 Skeleton Mastery, 33 Fire Golem, 35 Skeleton Mages, 36 Skeletons, 14 Revives, Corpse Explosion that would reach 7 yards, level 14 curses...

And I still have unspent skills. GOOD GOD, HELP ME! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THEM ALL!!!
