What's the difference between Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z anyways?
Dragon ball is more of an adventure show, when Goku was still a young boy and had his tail, traveling with 'bulma' (the translated ver.) and oolong, and eventually others like yamcha and his little shapeshifting friend, to find dragon balls and make wishes. Yeah I liked it when I was 12...but I always liked Dragon Ball more...it seemed more light-hearted and fun...DBZ is far less rare to see anywhere, since it's more popular.
I much preferred Dragon Ball over Z. More light hearted and fun. Not so much commentary during a fight. No fake drama. Lots of entertainment. And it wasn't all about fighting. Lots of adventure too. Good stuff

Because going over nine thousand is epic, going over eight thousand is not.
I always preferred DB over DBZ. It doesn't matter though, this is going to be the most hilariously bad movie ever, the sort of thing you need to see fresh in the theatres.

I have pretty much been waiting for this film my entire life. A live action Goku. Bad ass. And with both James Marsters and Chow Yun Fat, I am even more excited. There are a few other familiar names, but these two stick out. I can hardly contain my excitement.
And yes. DB was so much better than DBZ. I needn't be redundant and repeat what has already been said. Though DBZ's fight orientated focus did attract me. I have always liked fighting.

The fighting attracted me too, when I was younger. It was the ten episode long commentary -around- the fighting that bothered me
The Japanese for "It's over 8000" looks more like "It's over 9000" than "It's over 8000" in English.
Don't forget the full episode of shocked expressions and the villain monologuing after "surprising" moments

Zomgosh I just seen this thread and was like "WTF A DB movie!!!?". I thought Goku was so cute when he was young, shame about what happened to his human grandfather.I love DBZ, I'm going to eat some chocolate now and be all excited. ^__^
