I got 11 hours until the tournament. Oh yeah.
I got 11 hours until the tournament. Oh yeah.
I didn't expect you to look like that at all in real life JKTrix. No offense.
I hope you have a lot of fun with it. But uh, don't get too much practice in. We don't want you whooping us that badly on Wi-Fi.
Oh what am I saying? It is Brawl and I'd be playing it like crazy if I was in your shoes so forget what I said. :rolleyes2
Yeah. Apparently there's another Roto on Wi-Fi Brawl (not being sarcastic). I hope there won't be too much confusion with similar names.
I hope nobody has taken the name "STIO" yet. That was my Melee name and I plan to stick with it.
...Man, I hope they have more copies by tomorrow...
First run through on 'Subspace Emissary': 86% clear, 8 hours 13 minutes. Everything on Normal. 32 characters unlocked. I finished it much earlier today, but then I fell asleep
It's worth noting that my 'time' before the final, huge stage was less than 6 hours, and my clear rate was around 60%. The last stage is huge. Spoiler for what you do in the last stageIt's structured kind of like Metroid (or perhaps Kirby) where you have to explore multiple areas, and you have to fight not only all the bosses you beat before, but shadow versions of nearly all the player characters. Once you beat it, before the credits, you get the game's theme song played for you with an English translation. About 'shoot the credits'There is 'shoot the credits' after Adventure Mode. Credits just runs a bunch of the video clips from adventure mode with the scrolling names. It's in Classic mode, though.
Stickers are more effective than I thought they'd be. You probably don't really need them for Normal mode, but I imagine they'd be very helpful on harder difficulties.
You can spend hundreds of coins very easily on the Coin Launcher. Luckily, the stickers and trophies are fairly plentiful. If you hold the 'shoot' button for a second before you let it go, the coin will shoot faster and fly over whatever holes pop up on the board.
I've been trying to use the Classic controller, but it's definitely gonna take some getting used-to. I used a GC controller through most of the adventure mode.
If you use one of the control configurations that involve the Wii remote, you do get some noises coming from the remote that you don't get with the GC controller at all. For example (the only one I've heard), when you choose a character, they would say something or make a noise through the remote, while if you're playing with the GC controller they don't say anything at all.
That's it, 'til more people get it.

Before Brawl comes out in North America I'm going to post Masahiro Sakurai's Alcohol Induced Subspace Cutscene that unfortunately didn't make it in Brawl.
Also, for those of you worried about being slaughtered by MLG level players here's a video to help you remember that they too are human and prone to making mistakes.
I almost forgot today was Saturday. Saturday has something special.
I took this pic myself, my first one.

Bah, my Gamestop was closed for today due to bad weather.
Snapshots. Images are saved to an SD card, and the SD card is inserted into a computer, from which they may then be uploaded to an Intertron.
Bah, I'm broke. SSBB will have to wait for a couple of weeks.![]()
It's not quite that easy yet, but that's basically what it takes. Save 'em to SD card, then use either this program or this website to convert the files from the SD card to JPG. If you're using widescreen settings, you will probably have to resize the picture to make it look like it should.
Ugh. I'm kinda counting on someone to give me the money they owe me so I can buy this game. Doesn't look like that's happening within any reasonable amount of time. I'm gonna have to start breaking some legs.
Tomorrow, I'll be going into Gamestop pretty early. I want to make sure I get there with no line troubles.
I'm gonna try to get there when it opens. It's a sunday, and I reserved it at the mall, so it doesn't open too dramatically early.

Hey, JKTrix, when exactly did you get your Wii? I've been hearing that copies of Brawl have been freezing on a small number of systems, and reading up on it, it seems like most Launch-Wiis are the ones with freezing issues.
