Video Game Music Remixing

Some board members here are aware of sites like OCremix, where Music Remixes can be found. Though the term is threatening, it's normally not some form of techno. It's usually just using the melody of a song, or more than one song, and using it in a different way than in the original. Currently, I'm listening to the remix Nayru's Love as I write this.

What do you think of Video Game Music Remixes?

VGMix is another video game music community. I suggest taking a look at it if you have some time! This site was a rival of OverClocked ReMix several years ago.

It took me a long time to discover it as well. I first discovered "remixes" on VGMusic - 25,000+ Game Music MIDI files, but that site is really mostly good just for finding midi versions of video game songs. However, Dr. Fruitcake made a certain remix I really liked, but now I forget what it was.

I've got far too much Touhou remixes which I'm still trying to sort out

My favourite remix album so far though is Sound Holic's "風 -KAZE-" - with the exception of the first track, the whole CD is vocal remixes of various tracks from Mountain of Faith

Is Sanae's theme one of them ('Faith is for the Transient People')? If it is, I am so getting it. Even if it isn't, I'd still get it, because Mountain of Faith has some of the best songs so far, (though the Perfect Cherry Blossom soundtrack still owns my soul xD).

I got my hands on an official remix album of songs from Mega Man 1-6 that was released in December. It is... smurfing awesome.
