Super Smash Bros. Brawl Tournament - Round 1

sweet, they were some fairly good battles, they mean much more than any others i've watched because i actually know the fighters (not personally, but you know what i mean )...i didnt know pokemon trainer was that good, i thought he was pretty crap, but apparently not. In saying that, i know this game is 'balanced', etc. and it depends on the player's skill, after the nerfing it seems Samus got, i've lost all faith in the 'balanced' system

I registered you last night, but I guess we have to be online at the same time for it to be considered actually registered. We'll have to figure out a time to do that.

Pokemon Trainer is a real mixed bag. I watched the replays and I still have no idea how Monol can pull off Ivysaur that well. Anytime I play with him, I just fumble around for a few seconds and swap him out for Charizard and Squirtle.
And I still don't know why you think Samus is so nerfed But I guess that's better left for discussion in the actual Brawl thread.

edit: Oh, and for everyone with an SD card, I can provide the regular replay files for download once I get them transferred over to my computer.

I didnt wanna get knocked out by a lucario though...i hate that guy (MEWWWTWOOOO!!!)

JK got the shaft in the third match though but all in all a good set for round 1. Glad we got to do a pokemon rumble to start things off ey?

Just watched them... pretty good, but a bit painful to watch - looked like lag started to become a problem. When you got the smash ball twice in one round as Zelda I was freaking out though 'cause I knew it was over xD

Just unzip those on to your SD card into the directory \private\wii\app\RSBE\rp\ and they should work in Brawl.

If anyone wants me to send them some straight to their Wii, I can do that too (though limited to only a few a day). Just let me know.

do you have to have brawl and/or an SD card to watch those replays if you send them straight to a wii (as Hsu suggested)? i'd be interested if you don't need either of them, but i doubt that's the case

If I send them you don't need an SD card, but you do need Brawl. It doesn't let you send replays unless you have both the Brawl FC and the Wii code.

Remember that if you send the same piece of data to several people at the same time, it takes up the same number of points as just sending it to one person.

why do you need points to send things to people? and do you get a set amount each day, each week, each month or what? and they're free right? also, is it a 'brawl' thing or a 'wii' thing?

EDIT: i really want to start collecting Wii codes from you people for future contact, etc., plus i only have one other person in my address book soooo does anybody feel like exchanging them just for sh*ts and giggles or nah? i don't really care, it's just for future reference

I'm still not totally sure what the deal is with the points. afaik, they're just Brawl-specific. And yeah, they're free, they go back up to like 20 every day I think.. I guess it's just to keep bandwidth under control or something.

Actually, I don't think it's Brawl specific. Boom Blox also only allows a certain amount of data to be transferred each day, and it sounds like it's the same pool for all of your games.
