Thread: First Music Purchase EVER

    Default First Music Purchase EVER

Whether you're old enough to remember records, or whether the first music you owned was bought off iTunes.

What was the first music recording that was personally yours? It could have been a gift, something you bought with an allowance, or whatever. NO MATTER HOW EMBARASSING, post it plz.

My very first was Will Smith's CD, "Big Willie Style", which I got as a Xmas gift about 10 years ago. I still have not listened to it all the way through.

I tell people that my first music purchase was Blur's Country House, but in actual fact I made my mother buy me the Power Rangers theme song when it was released as a single back in 1994. :yuck:
"The most important and recognize player in the history of the country."

Sometimes I wonder what my life would be like if I were as great as Paulo Wanchope.

I never really had much of an interest in music really. I used to have a cassette player when I was about five but I really can't remember anything I used to listen to. I remember my sister bought a Smurfs CD though.

The first CD I ever bought for myself was Feeder's Echo Park in about 2003.

Edit: Wow, legitimate usage of the word 'smurf' that isn't a censorship!

The first CD I bought was either Follow the Leader by KoRn or Antichrist Superstar by Marilyn Manson. I cannot remember which came first.

Hmmm..as far back as I can remember... the first music purchase I myself made was, to my memory, 'Nimrod' by Green Day. >_<

The first one I bought myself was actually Michelle Branch - The Spirit Room.

Though like most of my CD's it's gone.

Though now that I'm not with that thief of a brother, I'll need to start re-buying some of me lost CD's.

It was a cassette of the Lion King soundtrack I won in an elementary school contest. Several years later, I upgraded to a CD player and bought either the Titanic soundtrack or Savage Garden.

Think Twice by Celine Dion, although I like to tell people it was 7 Seconds by Neneh Cherry & Youssou N'Dour.

One of my first CDs was Michael Jackson's HIStory. I don't remember what the first one was, but that one was definitely one of the earliest and had a big impact on my childhood.
