[spoilers]Indeed. He was caught so he went to jail/Arkham. It did feel like a traditional Batman though, with a minor villain popping up and Batman stepping in, beating him and his cronies up, then sending them off to jail. I much like Nolan's way of "Let's not kill EVERY villain in the series within 3 movies"[/spoilers]
(SPOILER)Especially since, y'know, Batman was too stupid to kill any of his enemies. Even after they've slaughtered half the city and escaped from Arkham so much the place installed a revolving door. It just wouldn't be Batman if he killed his enemies.
