Oh, and apparently there are rumors that My Chemical Romance has relocated to Portland as well. Not sure how true this is though.
Anyways, those are my favorite local bands.

What I've been listening to:
The only music I sort of like from out of Mississauga is Billy Talent and my own music.
Most everything else is high school/college kids trying to emulate Norma Jean or illScarlett.
Jellyfish swim by.
We have a few here. NZ is small enough that pretty much any band could be considered "local."

There aren't really any good bands from my hometown or the neighbouring towns for that matter.
I have no complete bands I'd like to mention that live near me.
Amarrionette however is one of the best Las Vegas local bands ever.
