    Dogs sleep anywhere
On the table, on the chair
    Wake them if you dare

First haiku I ever wrote. Still have the piece of paper from school with one of those generic "well done" stickers on it lying around somewhere.

And while I know that other forms are acceptable,

Here is a set of four that I wrote up

    Flowers falling down
Caught in the winds calm embrace
    Over a mute lake.

    The willows weep green
The flower weeps in deep pink
    The heart in blood red.

    From the eye above
To the smile far down below
    Serenity’s love.

    With natures balance
Just like that of Yin and Yang
    Beauty comes of two.

Wasn't that the love poem you wrote for Kaycee?

The messenger is standing at the gate
    Ready to let go
    Ready for the crush
    Too late for whispers
    Too late for the blush
    The past is mercy
    When the future is aglow

    Some competition
    for the poem DD wrote
    for his sweet resha.

I suffer daily and every time.
I cry for freedom I cry for help.
Yet my calls are not answered.
But you Resha you are my light.
So shine on my life and let me fight.
And we shall go to lands unknown.
Hand in hand with a lovers bond.
Do you wish this or do you not?
Do you want to save me?
If you do then take my hand.
And my misery shall be banned.
So come Resha do you accept me?
As your soul mate to make life an ease.
Or shall you banish my heart to misery.

Aren't haiku supposed to be about nature?

    The forest stands tall,
but it won't be there for long,
    arson is coming.

    Delicious tuna,
I could eat it every day,
    wait, this is dolphin.

    Ack! A bear attack!
No, you can't have my sandwich!
    Where is my bear spray? ;_;

    Seven syllables.
    Before that, five syllables.
    Also, after that.

    Haikus are too tough
    The syllable count is odd
    and my brain hurts lots!
