I'll quote this, Brittish spelling and all:
Antichrist Superstar was the first CD I ever bought.Used to be a pretty big fan. Still listen to his stuff every now and then. Holy Wood has always been my favourite of his albums.

I like him pretty well. I actually quite respect him, and I think he's very smart. I've thought about buying some of his stuff from time to time, but have actually never done it. Maybe I will someday, but then I think I'll go with some of his older stuff.
He's not bad.
Though he has a few tracks I find amazing. like Heart Shaped Glasses, and his covers of "Sweet Dream" and my personal favorite, "Personal Jesus".
Marilyn manson was the first band I liked when growing up. I still am a big fan. I like putting holes in happiness, man that you fear, coma white, coma black, and snake eyes for sissys. He did turn into another direction with gaog that he shouldn't do but I think he's just going with how he feels now and days.

I still swear Last Tour on Earth is the greatest live album ever. They're a band that you can easily hate on preconceived notions, but they're a lot deeper than you might immediately see. Still though, it's worth noting that as Marilyn Manson has become less shocking, the sales have also dropped, though considering the quality of the last two albums, that's not too surprising.
His cover of Personal Jesus was pretty good. I also really like Redeemer, which I think he did for Queen of the Damned, and the Resident Evil Theme song, which plays in the beginning of the first movie. I'm pretty sure he did the last two, but I'm not positive, so preemptive apologies if I'm mistaken![]()

I like some of his songs but I haven't listened much to him.
Originally it was only the band that was Marilyn Manson, was it not? Then he legally changed his name so now it does get a bit confusing. Although I never think of the band as Marilyn Manson. They're just the band as far as I'm concerned. I love the work he did on Resident Evil and I really would like to see him do more work on movies.
MM is my favourite of all artists. He's smart. I like his views on the world. I have all of his works and I do agree that Eat Me, Drink Me was not his best work, but I still like it. I like all of his CDs for different reasons because they all have a different thing going on in them. Whatever he does next I will still be buying it and listening to it.

I agree with all this (minus the RE stuff cuz I haven't heard it). Manson is still one of my favorite artists of all time just based on the stuff he had going on pre GAoG. Eat Me, Drink Me had it's moments (ie. Just a Car Crash Away, Are You the Rabbit?), but overall I think he's still lost his touch.
Although, like you said, that doesn't mean I won't be going to his concert next time he's in Toronto, or buying his next album. I just can't give up on him ; - ;
And maybe because Twiggy Ramirez is back in the band the next album will be a little more "old skoolz"
Is Twiggy back? I haven't been keeping up with MM news lately. Are they actually working on something new right now? That would be good news.

Yup. Twiggy's back, Skold's out (thankfully, since he's quite probably largely to blame for GAoG and EMDM's suckiness) and Wes Borland is also in, though may not have had much at all to do with writing material for the new album.

I was impressed with his appearance in Bowling for Columbine. He was the most sensible person in the movie.
