Back in the day, when we were in our teens and lived at our parents' house, my brother and I would often be playing a game when it was time for dinner. We'd yell, "Let me find a save point!" to which she said, "I told you dinner would be ready half an hour ago!" to which we'd reply, "Sometimes save points take a while to find!"

Because we weren't allowed to leave the game on when we weren't playing. We had to turn it off.

Besides, what if there was a power outage between the time I paused it and the time I got back to it? You know that's dangerous.
