This is pretty silly. We all know who we know, and we won't be able to check someone's reputation unless we know them, so the forum member's concept of who's popular on the forum doesn't really change. :o
As I've mentioned, this isn't about popularity, it's about encouraging people to leave nice little notes or whatever. It's not anything earth-shattering, just a nice alternative to warning posts.

We should add a "applaud" button or something to compliment the Warn button, to alert mods/admins to exceptionally good posts which need to be dealt with
We should be able to see who gave us these rep points. It will be meaningless to me otherwise.
