ugh I can't stand Valentine's Day. Especiially school cuz we have singing valentines! They're humiliating.

Well, if you insist on celebrating this awful holiday, just tell him that you're going to spend the whole day together. And you can do something cute like take turns doing stuff you've never done before. That way it's relatively cheap and also something different.

Well, a card is a good start! Something cute and silly. After that, just think of the sorts of things he likes, and get him something fairly small along those lines. Or get something cute and goofy, like a beanie baby of his favorite animal.

In Japanese culture, VALENTINE'S DAY (Feb. 14) is the day that GIRLS give presents to the person they like. WHITE DAY (Mar. 14) is the day that BOYS give presents to the person they like. I personally like that idea more than having both exchange on the same day, there's a better chance of Valentine's Day actually having some meaning. I do know one thing though: There're gonna be a LOT of babies born in November this year! (Valentine's Day is on a SATURDAY)

V-day is an arbitrary day, but I don't see why you can't use it as an occasion to do something special. It is on a Saturday anyway; you can probably get away with doing the same as usual, or just make a day out of it.
