I dont quite understand why people seem to like the Descent so much. It was alright but as scary movies go it was more gory and startling than scary. I thought Saw was quite scary
    Kefka's coming, look intimidating!
    Have a nice day!!

Shame that Drag me to hell wasn't out before she came round, :P that would have probably scared her big time teehee, I don't get scared easily but when I went to the cinema to see it, I had to curl into my bf the whole time cause I couldn't cope watching the screen!
    I'll figure it out later...

I dunno if it would've scared her but it certainly would've entertained her. I laughed harder at that than any comedy so far this year.
I will never be a memory.

There's bugs in the previews, I believe, so she would've vetoed it. But yeah, of course it would have scared her; just about everything does.

If you liked that you should check out American Werewolf in London, blends horror and comedy very effectively.

Yep you're quite right. Have the dvd and it does crack me up, it's even a little bit sad at the end. Some brilliant fx by Rick Baker.
I will never be a memory.

"Do you mind? The guy's a friend of mine."

One thing I love about del Toro is that he's a big believer in practical effects. He only resorts to CGI when it's too complicated or expensive otherwise. Just look at the Underworld series to see what's wrong with over-relying on CGI.
