I actually enjoyed it, but I'm not sure why. Some scenes are really awkward, though.
In Bruges is a really good film.
I just saw Bonnie and Clyde for the first time and wow, Warren Beaty and Faye Dunaway are like the prettiest couple ever.
Bonnie was such a smart lady, she deserved more :/

Still laughing about it. Could not believe that there were like 3-4 scenes of cock in the movie, though.
The Day The Earth Stood Still (remake).
Not the atrocity which I feared, but a very long way from the classic original. Largely, I think the movie would have most been helped by being 20 minutes longer and actually fleshing characters out a little. I can see the skeleton of the thing and it's not irredeemable but the short length of the movie meant the only way it worked was to make a lot of people hold idiot balls.
It was always going to be flawed because why didn't they just show up and say "so guys, there aren't many habitable worlds in the galaxy*. Keep yours usable and we'll give you freaking awesome technology - including technology that actually makes it viable for you to completely restructure your society and economy to be more environmentally friendly" but had it been done better that problem would have been less glaring.
I did like when Professor Barnhardt completely pwnd Klaatu.
* Of course, Gort was going to scour the Earth clean of everything and a planet covered in nanobots wouldn't have been terribly pleasant for the beasties in the ark, so they evidently can turn dead worlds into living ones, making the whole thing nonsense. But whatcha gon' do?
Edit: Oh also, of course, the ending means that (SPOILER)Klaatu's message can't be actually told to most of the world and those who do hear it are going to be preoccupied with staying alive in a world of 6 billion which has suddenly had it's production capacities reduced to a lot less than 6 billion, so yeah

I just saw Spectacular on tv, it was extremely cliche and I predicted every plot point and character reaction. The music choice and dance moves pretty much sucked except for maybe the final performance (which was was also riddled with plot cliches). I cant tell whether it was better or worse than Highschool musical but I know If I watched the South Park episode Elementary school musical multiple times over the runing time of this movie I would have enjoyed the south park epsiode more.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
stu and I saw this movie the day it came out, abusing his then-friendship with the manager of the movie theater to get in for free. We went in the splendor of afternoon, and emerged in the red dusk of early evening. I never saw it again since last night.
To be honest, the action/intrigues in this movie are too convoluted to keep track of. And since I knew all of the consequences from World's End, I stopped paying attention in the middle. I have a hard time feeling anything towards Bootstrap Bill, but I found Norrington's thread to be very interesting, where before I had kinda ignored it because I didn't recognize him as the character from the previous film.
In short: too-long, too-complicated.

I just saw Towelhead and I'm not really sure how I feel about it.
It just feels like child pornography even the story is about sexual awakening and what not. But it's about a 13 year old girl! Oh well.
I really only saw it for Toni Collette, and even though she wasn't in it that much, she was still the best part of the movie for me.
500 Days of Summer. Wonderful 5/5.

The Castle of Cagliostro is the best animated film ever. Thats all I have to say.
I last watched Dune which I enjoyed thoroughly. I dunno why people loathe it so much. The visuals were very unique for a science fiction film.
