Strangely enough, I found the Balthier vs. Marche matchup to be the hardest to choose between. But in the end, I went for Balthier. I think Marche is terribly underrated.

Now that's just mean, interactive furniture as a lot more personality than that thing.

Yuna's personality wasn't that great, but as the only summoner she had access to some of the coolest and most powerful attacks in the game.

I included the KH characters because those games did feature some FF characters and elements. Sora is rated pretty high because one of my rankers put him at number 1. Guess who.

I'm still not seeing the anger management issue since I manage to stay pretty consistent with my hate towards most of the cast The game wasn't too bad, but I doubt I'll ever understand why people would like some of those characters for their personalities.

For the first time in this tournament, all the top seeds have advanced! Sora barely made it though. Here's round 2's matches, which should be a lot closer:

How interesting that we have 4 FFX characters in the top half of this bracket and 3 FFXII characters (and Sora) in the bottom half. Also, best pals Fran and Balthier are going head to head this round which should be interesting.

Am I the only one noticing that a lot of times people from the same game are facing each other more often than characters from other titles?

Well the divisions are limited by titles. For example the last division was only characters from FFVII, VIII, and IX. When all of the VIII characters go out in the first round you'll expect to see people from the same game playing each other.

In this division it was just luck of seeding.

I like having it this way because it allows for more games to be represented in the later rounds.

I think you're mistaking liking Auron more than Yuna (understandably) for thinking he's super awesome. At least that's why I voted for him. I could name at least a dozen characters from every FF I would vote for over him anyday.

They're both awesome characters, though.

Then again, I don't understand how Rikku is still in the game. Perhaps I'm just out of touch with what the kids are into these days.
