An English team lost to a German team? This is a dark day for English football. Frankly I think if we football thread regulars put together a team we could probably win the Bundesliga.

You know, despite being so gutted about going out, I'm actually really proud of the performance we put in tonight. If we'd played that way on Saturday, we'd be top of the league.

Rafael deserved to go off for two deserved yellow cards, can't complain about that. Only genuine complaint about the match is either Rafael's decision to do that in front of the ref or else a few people not taking insanely good chances on our part. The goals we conceded were brilliant so we can't really complain about them (well, we can, but not the fairness of them).

I'm gutted, but not at this leg at all - we won the leg. I'm gutted that the poor first leg has come back to haunt us.

The lows just make the highs higher Robert.

Thats still English, it doesn't even compare to something like Catalonia, which actually nearly is its own country. I know of ManchuRia, which is in China though.

If you asked me what I'd prefer, winning the Europa League or making it to the quarterfinals of the CL, I'd probably take the quarterfinals. There's something that doesn't feel completely right about the idea of United winning the Europa League. The idea that you need to fail in order to win it is something rather unsettling.
