I have made some great friends here and from that I've gotten great ideas for stories just from the stupid random bullwe talk about.
Some of my mates know I come here, some of my mates I met through here some of them I couldn't picture my life being half as funny without. Some of my mates away from here know some of my mates from here from when we hung out over the years. Still, it's good I come here purely for my friends now, I don't particulary find gaming to be the be all and end all to my life (working with games does this to me, when your job involves doing it you don't feel like it often at home) anymore but theres people here I like to talk to when I don't just grab them on msn/skype/facebook.
I come because of Iceglow's puzzling replies. Someday I'll figure out what you're up to.

It hasn't affected me in a way that I am especially proud of or would brag over, but definitely I've met a bunch of weirdos and quirky freaks I wouldn't have normally known to approach otherwise. Also a lot of you operate as a sort of external confidante that I can trust will not interfere with my real life dealings.
For example I heavily used EoFFers when I was in an unhappy relationship, and I usually use EoFFers as close friends because it means they know a lot about me without the risk of them being around me physically (this isn't always the case; see araciel)
