I feel bad being declared the winner in the match against RMC as he did come back and play after the long absence, but we reached a draw and who knows how long the next bout will take, so I understand the need to pick a winner.
Oops. For some reason I thought the L1-2 card rule disappeared for later rounds (no idea why), will have to restart the game for Ultima and myself. Heh.
Bow before the mighty Javoo!
Loony "Dirty Cheater" BoB. I'd check his previous games and make sure he didn't cheat to get here!
No, I just remember someone saying something like "lol they're still using the old rules which don't apply anymore" or something when we had the previous round. I dunno, too lazy to look it up.![]()
Bow before the mighty Javoo!
lol guys it's better to stick to the right side of the field in the fire tournament - i probably would've done better had I actually stuck to that strategy in my only game
Got internet atm, but will be off until the 9th pretty soon, so BoB got quite a bit of time to think through his first move.![]()
That's just great. It seems this tournament will take us into the new year.
Aww, it's just 4 days basically. I'll be sure to make my moves quickly as soon as I get back.![]()
I volunteer to take Ultima Shadow's place in the tournament![]()
Oops, I forgot about this, and apparently so did Faris. I sent an invite!

FINAL
(SPOILER)ULTIMA SHADOW, aka the Swedish Dreamboat vs JIRO, aka the Australian Disco Diva!
Both these two fine stallions have had a difficult road to the finals, both losing matches to fellow countrymen in the group stage. Ultima Shadow started off with a shock loss to Rantz which saw him bottom of the Moogle group, but turned on the style with a fine victory over Mirage and then putting Quin to the sword. He was then on tenterhooks for the outcome between Rantz and Quin until it was declared a tie. He then successfully staved off WildRaubtier and broke his 100% win record to march into the final.
Jiro, meanwhile, steamed ahead in Tonberry, putting Loony BoB down right away. He then suffered a blow at the hands of Wild Raubtier, but managed to utterly destroy Jowy 8-2 to qualify as best runner up. Like Shadow, he too faced an opponent who had not yet lost, Citizen Bleys, in the semi-finals. And like Shadow, he managed to emerge victorious.
So, what are they fighting for? I'll tell you what. EoFF's first ever Level 10 Triple Triad card. Oh yes. 2,025 gil will also be awarded to the man who comes out on top. There will be a reward for the runner up too, as he will receive a Level 9 card and 1,025 gil!
Meanwhile, in our third place playoff, CITIZEN BLEYS will take on WILDRAUBTIER.
WildRaubtier has expressed a desire to have nothing more to do with this thread. Will the third place prize, a Level 8 Card and 525 gil, be enough to tempt him into battle against the wily Canadian?
