How will numbers be decided? I imagine not too many members want a combination of 3,4,5,2. They can be used strategically, but I imagine a lot of people will want an A or two as these are associated with "good" cards.

I'm not sure which avatar I would choose, so I'll get back to you on that

I believe they are arranged in level order, so Lv. 10 cards are like best member, admins, etc etc. Then a gradual drop to say level 5 or something. As for numbers...

actually, that's a very good point. How are numbers being decided? Naturally, they will fall within the constraints of the level boundaries, but as for specifics, I don't know, ask BoB.

top number is based on join date, bottom number is based on post count, right number is based on rep count, left number is based on ciddies.

That could work actually, and make each card relatively unique. Of course, numbers would change throughout the years, but that can be worked around. Not quite so sure about basing numbers off of Ciddies, because many people have never actually won a Ciddie before. As for the reference/staff forum post idea, good thinking, but not everyone bothers much with those forums, particularly if their not staff or part of the event's committee.

But really I'm nitpicking, I like that idea nuke!

Numbers will likely be random (to avoid everyone making awesome cards, sorry!) and willd depend largely on the level (of course). They will use similar sets of numbers to those seen on the FFVIII cards, although perhaps the numbers will be rearranged to point in different directions.

Elements will first and foremost depend on things such as username (eg. fire_of_avalon = Fire element) but beyond that I am considering other options, including avatar image and (I'm assuming the number of cards with elements will still be less than a third of the deck at this point) allowing people to choose elements.

Levels are not as random when you get to high level cards, but are still fairly random. Lifetime Achievement Ciddie and Highwind winners will likely be in the top couple of rows, for example.

But of course, not my decision.
