If the nomination totals are anything to go by, we have several front-runners for several awards. This Ciddies might not be so surprising after all. In some awards, there's a +2 gap between front-runner and the second placed member, often even more than that!
Either this will be a ciddies where the nominations pretty much reflect the winners, or the nominations will be turned on their head for most awards. I'm going for the former with this one.

It's possible that people don't always nominate the "most obvious" candidates, in order to get recognition to more people/get a wider nominee pool.
Del Murder once didn't nominate me for Best Member because he thought I'd be a guaranteed finalist (and he stated he was going to vote for me, too). I only got one nomination and was cut.
Del Murder won.

It was a former TV show yes, but the award is referencing a huge Kickstarter project earlier this year to help raise money for a Veronica Mars movie, where someone who donated $10,000 would get a one-line speaking role as an extra.
I think running the Ciddies have that effect. It would explain why I randomly swept them the year I was running them and then promptly faded back into digital obscurity after that.
