I had mine removed years ago. The week thereafter I had them removed were torturous.

This is what I'm afraid of. Please tell me they knock you out during.

Of course I was put out during the surgery. I remember waking up with these cotton balls stuck in my mouth to soak up the blood. It was pretty horrible once I regained my sense of taste. :X
