I think donations for this are capped at $50 anyway - which, yeah makes a big difference to some people I guess but this wasn't intended. It's just another thing that's gotten out of control and now this guy is intending to do a cookbook etc with the money and take it further. I say good on him.

I think there's enough people that loathe potato salad that I could make a bunch of money with a contrasting potatoes au gratin kickstarter. Backers could have input on the types of cheese, etc.
