Guardians of the Galaxy - 7/10. Fun, cute movie! I've become quite sick of all the hype surrounding it and it put me off from it going to see it, but Rocket was in fact one of the best roles. Probably the best thing Bradley Cooper has ever done. And also I bawled my eyes out at youknowwhatpart. And holy trout did Chris Pratt look incredible. I watch him on Parks and Rec atleast once a day and didn't really care about him getting in shape for this movie as I already like him, but watching him on screen, yep damn looked pretty good. I also like that (SPOILER)there was zero romantic moment/kiss between Pete and Gamora. That was awesome, and I really liked that. There were some sweet moments and obviously the time they got close, but otherwise, yep, really happy to see a movie where the hero did NOT get the girl.

I think I liked this more than the Avengers because it's about a group of misfits without phenomenal cosmic powers. I know it's all hoke and fiction, but in a way that seemed to make them more relatable to me. Pretty good movie!

Captain America: The First Avenger - 5/10. Eh. Was alright. Will probably never see it again. I just have stars in my eyes for Chris Evans as Cap and wanted to watch him on screen for two hours. It went on longer than it should and I felt like it should have ended at several places before it actually did.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier - 6/10. Pretty disappointed that I feel like Nick Fury hijacked this smurfing movie. I feel like many of his scenes were useless. (SPOILER)The part where SHIELD turns on him and beats the hell out of his SUV? We didn't need to see all that. That was a showoff action scene. We could have cut straight to him being in in Cap's apartment all bloody and telling Cap not to trust anyone. Would have made for a better part of the story, I think. I disliked Black Widow being in this movie, I think she was totally unnecessary and a little too convenient. I also disliked how it seemed mostly about SHIELD than Cap somehow.

Additionally, I was really going for the Winter Soldier bit. That was awesome. A deadly anonymous highly dangerous assassin with a robot arm? Yes, amazing. I was kind of disappointed when he was revealed as Bucky, though. I know it makes for a good plot twist and drama, but it seemed like a massive stretch to me. What I did like, though, was that they did not have some big happy bromance reunion at the end. That made it watchable.

The Last Days - Barcelona - the world is gripped in a fear of outdoors so everyone stays inside.

eh... I watch every 'post-apocalyptic' movie I come across but this was yawn-worthy.

(SPOILER)She ends up with another hero who later joins the Guardians.

They're staying true to the comics with that one. It really isn't a huge stretch considering they brought back Captain America when he was frozen like Walt Disney and plus it's a smurfing comic book movie. When does anything in this universe actually happen?

I didn't mean I was a huge stretch for the comics as I don't know anything about the comics. Just for the story in general it felt like a stretch.

This. I'm glad I chose to ignore everything about this movie until I went to see it for myself.

Doesn't help that it's kind of predictable too. I mean (SPOILER)the whole time they're talking about Bucky in that museum (I think it was a museum) I was just sitting there thinking "He's going to be the Winter Soldier."

"The Brittany Murphy Story" on Lifetime.

20/10 Horrible. The casting and acting were completely horrendous and didn't do Brittany any justice at all.

I mean, I know it's Lifetime and no one should've expected any better, but I figured that with them improving their efforts with the V.C. Andrews movies (which, yes, I do believe were very well done and well cast), they could manage to keep up with the same quality. This, I think, was one of their worst movies ever.

Well I'd love to see what you give a film you thought was good!

I watched Pacific rim yesterday and I thought it was awesome. I found it to be well-paced, and the action and special effects were top notch. 3 out of 4

    The Village

I put off watching this for years as like most films with a twist, I had it ruined for me. I wasn't overly impressed with it if I'm honest. It had a very good cast but the pace was slow and it was just a strange atmosphere throughout.

The twist didn't do much to add to the film and overall I was pretty disappointed.

    Veronica Mars.

If you liked the show you'll more than likely like the movie. I can't say for sure, I haven't interacted with the fanbase at all and I vaguely remember anything about the show. The movie is basically just an extended episode, anyway. The mystery is fun and exciting and everything tides up nicely.

Divergent writes the main character SO well, like there's literally not an action or line from her I didn't like. I didn't like how they switched the one liner's character off so early. Like, I really liked the train jumping bit where she was all "whaaa???!?!?!?!". My only problems is the Tsund love interest warms way too quickly from his brash introduction, and also Shailene makes every face from TFioS. My sister and I were in laugh-tears after the stairs scene.

    Trading Places

Bubba introduced this to me last night to further develop my 80s education. I have to say, I really enjoyed it! I wasn't sure which way it was heading and although he was a bit of a douche,I felt sorry for Dan Akroyd's character.

This film was funny from beginning to end but to me had quite a deep meaning too- that money isn't everything and all people should be treated with respect. Just cause you've got a billion pounds/dollars in the bank, doesn't make you the 'bees knees'.

    Loved this.

6/10. Some of the humour felt forced to me, I think I laughed once, and the female lead was so cliche I could predict what she was going to say and do for the whole movie, and I'm not even good at that stuff.

Also, I liked the big guy but you don't see him as much in promotions and stuff, so I feel bad for him.

But the movie was still okay to watch. I wouldn't watch it again but it was good for this time. Had some cute moments. The first two minutes were incredibly touching and almost made me cry

That is the single most glowing review I've ever seen of that movie.

    The Equalizer.

Good movie. Denzel Washington's character is skilled, smart, encouraging, and easily likeable. The suspense building up to the first main fight scene is great and it just gets better from there. Chloe was great as always and I really liked Marton Csokas' character as well.

    Would watch again.
