To be honest London is a central travel hub for people coming from outside of the UK. There are other international airports, but what you save from not flying to London is then often made-up by having to pay for car rental/trains etc on top.
Like when I go home from Ireland, I can fly to a regional airport and it's substantially less than flying to London. But after I factor in trains etc on top it ends up being a much longer journey for pretty much the same amount as flying directly.
Yeah, I think with the city being decided upon for this long we should stick with it. The rest of the UK isn't going to be that much better if you're wanting to have it at someone's place (not to mention what Aulayna said), and it's too late to change to a different country as everyone has been planning their finances based on it being in the UK.

To make the whole thing fair, you should make it equally expensive for both UK'ers and Muricans and have the meetup in Australia.

Haha, the first band I was ever in we used to play Free Bird as our last song. Haven't played that end solo in years but I reckon it could be done! Really need a full band for that though.
That's great! I love when people try to mock bar bands or whatever for real by screaming "FREEBIRD" and then they actually play it. Bonus if it is the whole song.

Probably good to keep in mind that people most likely want to chat and socialise rather than listen to live performances. Not a dig at Spooniest and Bubba as I know you guys are good, but just wanted to manage some expectations!
