When I got home from dropping our oldest off at school I noticed a squirrel drinking from the pool (dogs must be feeling lazy today, sleeping in). Very large, well fed. I recognize him as the one that foiled my attempts at gardening (fenced it to keep the dogs out, giving him free reign). At first, I felt very sorry for him. 6 months ago, or so, I saw him moarning his mate in the street in front of my house. He sat by her side, she had been hit by a car (freakin' insensitive people). I was used to seeing them play in the street, cute. Anyways, As he left the pool, he "chirped" towards the bougainvillea, and another squirrel came out (guess he was telling her that it was safe). They began to run around the trees and bushes, playing with one another. He's happy, made me happy (though I'll never forgive him for eating all of my tomatoes).

Also I came up with a superhero. Her name is Katherine the Superhero and she is from Pluto. She's a fisherwoman and she moved to Earth because there's better fishing. She lives in a nomad city so sometimes she can't catch as many fish. Her secret identity is Katie the Fisherwoman and she disguises herself by taking off her glasses. She can make tornadoes, summon ninja butlers, and throw stars. Her love interest is a large Chinese man named Bartholomew and he is a professional magician.

The main antagonist is a man named Randy the Evil Accountant and he is an evil accountant. He snapped one day when dealing with her inconsistent expenses and started becoming verbally abusive to his clients. He fights of Katherine with emotional and mental abuse, so she needs to fight her inner demons and learn to love herself despite his remarks and comments.

So I had a bad test in my drug and alcohol class (and by bad I mean pretty good but less than I wanted), but the combination of 100's so far on my homework assignments and the 98 on my latest test, my average is back up in the 4.0 range. Very happy, hopefully I can keep it up

On Sunday I was up at 6, but went back out around 8, up at 11, out quick, didn't move until 2pm. This is unprecedented. Yesterday I napped from 6pm-8pm. Passed out at 2am, up at 6 to take son to school, he wasn't feeling well (stayed home), knocked out, and stayed out until 11am. WTF!? This is nuts. I'm going to attribute it to my combo of diphenhydramine (this time it was Theraflu), "Power to Sleep PM" (wife discovered at Whole Foods), Yogi "Relaxed Mind" tea, and chronic edibles. I do not sleep, never have. This is Amazeballs+.

I just got mad as well as amused as one of the very popular FF speedrunners on twitch was trying to make a fool out of me not accepting that Kefka and Kain in japanese are Cefca and Kain because he did not understand that even "Ke-fu-ka" and "Ka-i-n" have their writing in our letters even in Japan. He like completely ignored it by acting like "Ce" and "Ca" are never pronounced as "K" as well as like Japanese people have no "c" - which in a way is true but they very well imitate all sounds our letters can make, and I am sorry but in this context, they very well have the c, it being depending on the word, a "se" or a "ke" or whatever katakana is used for which word. :D

Well, it's not today, but I'm still feeling giddy after seeing Zootopia on Easter Sunday :D Easily the best Disney movie in the last decade or two. So relevant, so funny, and just so, so smart. I can't get over how good it was!

2 things; I did my taxes yesterday and didn't get hit with the no-insurance penalty that ate half of my return last year. All I did was check a box that said 'I couldn't afford insurance in my area' and TurboTax was like 'lol k' and waved it. Last year I went to h&r block and the guy wouldn't let me get around it. Idk if they changed the rules on that or what but I'm not complaining :D

Other thing recently; I found a purple haircolor that u don't have to bleach my hair first for. Being able to have purple hair without destroying it as much is awesome.

Anyway, I've been going to a chair dance class for a couple weeks now. I leave sore, and with occasional bruises, but I love it! It's such a fun workout and the teacher is amazing. She doesn't make me feel like the epileptic ape I probably resemble. It's three weeks before they have it again and I can't wait to go back! The studio also has Pole Dance for fitness classes, and I want to try those too. :)

If you can afford it, I recommend seeing a hygienist regularly too. It makes it a bit pricey (£50 for that and the check up) and you will lose a lot of blood, but oh man does it ever sort your teeth the fuck out.

I was tidying my nanas house today for her coming home tomorrow and I stumbled across my late grandfathers wallet in a drawer. For the whole time I knew him he had severe alzheimers so I never really 'knew him' but inside his wallet there was a picture of me as a baby. That means that once he had known me, and been proud enough of me to carry me in his wallet before he got sick. I'm so nosed deep in gender studies and gender role ideology right now as part of my dissertation so I'm just reading so much into this one sentence.

Just got me a Kindle Paperwhite, and it is quite lovely. I haven't really read much in a while because of being busy, and the books I've been itching to read have either disappeared from moving the few times I have or are boxed up at my parents house and somehow didn't make it to my apartment. I've tried reading on my tablets in the past to mixed results, but it really is easier on the eyes to read on the Kindle screen. It's also less distracting since my iPad and such usually leads to me getting sidetracked with other stuff. Also, the battery life is much better on the Kindle. It'll also make my life easier to just have a bunch of books with me on the go in compact form since my books are kind of scattered and I'll probably be moving again in a few years to somewhere out of state.

I'm expecting to be reading and writing a lot more now and getting back into my old habits so that I can go back to work on a few of my old unfinished or unstarted project ideas. It just feels good to be getting back into a creative mindset.

Today I switched the laundry, it was in the dryer.

Tickets sold out in 12 mins on wednesday. So today the second batch went up. She had four computers set up and I logged in here on mine. My internet is faster than hers so just in case maybe I could get it, I would for her. She gave me all her info so I could do so.

The tickets sold out today in 7 mins. All four of hers never went through but mine did! We got her and her hubby their tickets! So all four of us are going come november! I'm so excited!

We're going to try to cosplay, we've never done so before though! Our 12 yr old has displayed "advanced" learning capabilities from a very young age and excels in school. Our 2 year old has always shown that he is "bright", but has recently impressed me with color "recognition". Last week he was naming the colors of purple, blue, red, and yellow objects for me. I told my wife, she stated that he been doing that "for some time now". He lines up all of the "solid" billiards balls and counts them, then says their colors while pointing to each. A moment ago he called to me to get my attention. He held up a solid and yelled out "yellow!", then proceeded to roll it across the table directly into the "striped" yellow ball. He then held up another, yelled "orange!", and rolled it right into the orange "stripe" in the opposite corner. Smart and coordinated. :) (tons of trouble though)

It's been a good few days! We went to the carnival yesterday night and it wasn't too hot. Played some games, went on the tilt-a-whirl, had some hot dogs and funnel cakes. Then we got to see a sea lion show, which was awesome!

Then today we went in to the mountains and had a nice scenic day and lunch at a nice restaurant. Now we're going to free comic book day and then getting some ice cream!

It's been a very tiring week with limited sleep, but ultimately very rewarding. Had two essays and my dissertation presentation due in this week - Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

Both essays went fairly well, and my dissertation presentation went swimmingly (besides myself going overtime by a minute and a half - I always go for detail).

Spending this weekend just relaxing before diving back in things. But things are looking good!

My homie and I took our dogs (he has an almost 9 yr old pitbull that -loves- my sweet Penny. They're bf/gf p much) out to Ft. Tilden for a bit earlier this morning before the rain hits.

Ft. Tilden is this park area on the western tip of Long Island (like 10 min away from me driving) with trails and old war bunkers and nurses' stations and stuff. It's really cool- and gorgeous. There's a huge hill with steps and a wooden platform at the top. From there, you can see the Manhattan skyline and ocean all around. It's soo pretty. We usually go up there and smoke a doobie and walk the dogs all around the area.

BeeJay and I are going to see the Avengers movie or whatever at the good theater near us on Long Island Their seats are leather recliners and tickets at this place are actually a bit cheaper than what they are at theaters in the greater Queens area.

So yayyyy. Fun day today.

We went strawberry picking yesterday and got some neato stuff from the vendor stalls they had set up. Then today I got some good cleaning done like cleaning all of the trashbins, and it's still before lunch time. It's nice to be productive!
