all right. i'll give you the answer to mine. And I'll explain it because it's brilliant...i think.

The answer is...."YOU DON'T NEED A REASON TO HELP PEOPLE."

A warm-hearted fiend has no sins at heart,

This is just telling us it's Zidane. He's kind (warm-hearted) but he is actually an enemy of Gaia (fiend). It's saying how nice he is (no sins at heart) before Garland reveals it all (before painful truth tears him apart).

The words that echo through his mind,
are really not that hard to find.

This tells you that I'm looking for a quote and the "echo through his mind" means that it's a thought, not spoken aloud. And they really aren't that hard to find....

Throughout the game the words remain unspoken,
once they appear, before life is awoken.

This tells us that the quote only appears once throughout the game, and that it's before you start the game (before life is awoken)

So then! at first, give your thumbs a twiddle,
patience is rewarded with the end of this riddle.

When you twiddle your thumbs it means you're just waiting around doing nothing, so do that at the main menu of Disk 1 and you'll get the answer. But it does take a little while, so you need patience. Tada.

I think it's Ipsen's castle, when you rescue Amarant.
The ace I think is a kind of metaphor, because in card games, the ace tends to give you the upper hand. Zidane gets the upper hand on Amarnt, because Amarant owes him one.
Yeah yeah, he likes you more afterwards too.
Dunno about the excitement...
He's famous, with a 10K bounty on him.

This is referring to Disc 3 DURING the Treno card tournament when u must leave with ONLY Zidane and go back to Dali. The coffer is Either referring to the Key hidden in the Mayor's house OR the chest hidden in Dali. The one whom is sleeping, well let's just say DUH!!!, and as for the beasty Item and it's being Worthless I have to say it is the Mini-Prima Vista. However, I am of a mind to disagree with the statement that it is worthless. I play RPG's in an attempt to get everything as one of my playthroughs.....thus getting this and the subsequent aid it gives you in attaining Rank S from the "four armed man" ;) makes it worth getting at least on occasion. As for the last stanza. It is referring to Kuja Summoning Bahamut and the accompanying set of events over which you have no control. Thought I would at least give an explanation with my answer even though someone else got to the base answer a post or two earlier.

Here we have a coffer is a chest. A treasure chest to be precise. And the hopper is the place where you put grain into a mill. Meaning run to the chest in Dali, look around the Mayor's office, but don't wake up the kid in there.

This is nice. The three who must fail are the three players before you get to play the card champion. And when you do win, you get the Oglop Card. Oglop's are useless little beasty :D

Beware Erin, who is a sky captain because she's the champ. She comes along with Regent Cid, who is in the form of a useless beast: oglop. As soon as you finish the CARD battle, it goes pretty much straight to a cut scene without any movement on your behalf.

I killed him with 1 less go than that. Dagger/Eiko's Life + Soulcage = Gaia - Soulcage. Just a wee bi' o' maths to make yer breens work.



Oh yeah, 1 page before on eikoguys hints. He said something after hint 3 about it being a weapon. So maybe Octagon Rod or summat for the Fire/Fira/Firaga idea. Still Llanowar's (soooo much better than the new name) idea though.
