And here is your brand spanking new riddles thread for the FFIX forum. Hooray.

If a riddle becomes so drawn out that it's taking pages and weeks to solve, the riddle giver needs to start giving some damn good clues to help put it to an end.

Otherwise, let the riddles go on... I'd ask one but hey, I've never even played the game. :smash:

im sure im wrong but it kinda sounds like ur referring to mog/madeen, hides in darkness in eiko's dress or awaiting summon as an eidelon, glows in light, eidelon power/trance, multiples of ten... madeen always ends in 00 for me, losing a fight doesnt fit =.=, gift i leave = ribbon, power to heal doesnt really fit, darkness i run, not sure, same with last line

so i assume i wasted my time and everyone else's :D

I think it's the Eidolon Phoenix..... He hides until he's summoned, then he's surrounded by the light of fire.... if he comes unannounced after the party's been decimated, he revies and heals the party (dont know if it's in multiples of ten, but oh well), the gift he leaves is the fact that he just gave you a second chance to regroup and heal yourself for another go, then he goes away again before everyone is fully standing, so the characters would be like, what the heckfire just happened???

I'm at work and REALLY BORED. Sorry if I rambled on too much.... :love:

But am I right? I hope I am cuz I wrote a riddle that hopefully will put Thingfish's to shame!

I was wondering what the heck this healing power is. Is it Hp/Mp? Is it status? Is it k.o.?

the healing is referred to HP/MP being healed, but not directly through the answer.

You'll need to look into it a little. This isn't an absolute obvious riddle. It should be "hard enough" but not too hard with a little effort of looking lol.

You may ask questions but if I feel they may be too obvious I will probably put them aside (only the obvious ones). As I don't want to give the answer away. I'd rather people just try a little :p

If it's an enemy I'm just gonna throw out Anemone.
It gives 5080 exp. (multiples of ten) and you can steal an Ore or Tent from it (the power to heal).

I still can't figure the rest.

its the spirits that you give stuff like ore and junk. gi9ve multiples of 10 ap after the battle ends when you give him the crap. might think, is he real, they run in mostly woods.

if it is a specific spirit if at all one, is it the one found in the woods near treno? sounds like it to me :(

Am i right about the darkness being Treno or the healing being HP/MP healing similar to the healing at quan dwelling (as in, the healing in the forest below alexandria, cant remember what its called, where blank is turned to stone). Other places with this healing are cleyra, mene does it for you when you defeat ozma, probably others if i think hard enough.

If treno many possibilities, gilmagesh?, Amarant?, Doctot Tot? (but now im just guessing and guessing is unhealthy, i have to try and ANALYSE the riddle, thats how i got this far ;) )

If you feel that answering will give it away then feel free to ignore question.

On another note - does it have something to do with trance? Gives eiko the power to heal, from darkness brings light (as in mog), youve got to get beat up to get into trance (lose a fight).

Anyway, i think it might be Lani, the other bounty hunter.
She has red(ish) hair, she lives in madain sari later in the game (madain sari = sign of inferno because invincible=storm + fire = ruins.) She's not on our team but she helps us (with the eilodion wall thing). anway, i'm most likely wrong. but pay attention to my first line. ^^^

after careful thought i think it may be Cid Fabool (regent cid). He has multiple forms, likes airships (although in an airship i'd rather be), lives in lindblum which was destroyed by bahumat i think (bahumat=destruction=inferno), you see him sometimes, most of the time he is working on airships/ rebuilding the city/ planning something, he councils garnet, he's not an ally to Queen Branhe/alexandria but is garnets' friends/uncle. anyway, i'm running out of ideas. i'll try working on the italics for a while. oh and if i'm ever right, someone else take my go.
