When summoned, Lich appears as Rich through a simple L-R confusion common for Japanese translators. And 600 the MP cost I believe.

I think Despotus should have the next turn.

I did figure that the 600 clue referred to the Jp cost (not MP, BG...;)) but I had forgotten about that Engrish mess-up in the casting!

I apologize for taking so long guys, but I can't even think of a good riddle right now because my little sister is driving me nuckin futz!!! So, if you don't mind, I'd like to vent a little.:mad2:

First of all, she's never on time for anything. She'll make an appointment with a friend or with me; and, for what seems like forever, we'll just be standing around like idiots, wondering what in the hell she's doing, where she's at, and when in the hell she'll show up? And when Miss Molasses finally does arrive, we're running late!
In a "conversation" (if you can call it that), she never lets anyone else talk, but just goes on and on with another lame-ass story that'll bore you into a coma.
If you ever saw the way she acts, it would turn your blood cold. But God forbid anyone should try and criticize her, she'll gouge their eyes out! She makes me sick!!!! So sick, I can't even remember my own name. Have you guessed it? :holmes: My name, that is? ;)

I've read your "story" about 30 times, trying to find some kind of clue, but I'm sure that if it's there, I won't find it. I'm sure that BG-57 already has got it, though.

I have put 9 or 10 clues into this angry little tirade, but I think I should give you a little direction to help your guesses. Look at how my sister's actions affect others (me, you, other people), but don't take it too literally. What I mean is her actions will affect other people, though not me (the answer to the riddle) or you (literally, you, my fellow FFT fan), or even her friends (those who stand with her). And remember, the answer to the riddle is not her name, but mine, her "brother's". Good luck! :)

I see a few things... Mimic Daravon comes to mind. Turn your blood cold seems to be like "blood suck" or something like that... Gouge their eyes out... Sounds like goblin issues to me.

So I've got nothing!

Unless Celia and Lede are sisters, I rarely see siblings that don't include brothers and sisters. It's not any of the propositions, I'm fairly sure. I don't quite see any character that fits the clues perfectly: I may have to do this by eliminiation.

Brother/Sister Pairs
Larg/Ruvelia
Malak/Rafa
Izlude/Meliadoul
Dycedarg or Zalbag or Ramza/Alma
Delita/Teta

The brother sounds pretty impatient and adversarial with his younger sister, so I'll guess Malak this time, referring to Rafa. :twak:

Despotus
04-14-2006, 10:57 PM
Brother and sister are used figuratively. There is no pair of sibling characters that fit the riddle. A hint: Look at the way the sister affects others. There are 8 ways that the sister causes harm to other people. The "brother/sister" relationship is the ninth clue. I'll clue you in on the tenth clue later. I think I've set you on the right path now. ;)

Confusion

The sister part may refer to the fact that it's a Dancer skill, available only to female units.

EDIT: If you're looking for the 'brother' spell to Nameless Dance, it would be the Bard's counterpart, Nameless Song.

Did I get it Sherlock Holmes? :holmes:

If I did you can call me Moriarty. :monocle:

You are pretty much right on with all of your answer, Mr. 57, this round is yours. But be warned, this is not the last you'll hear from me. :radred:
I want to clarify just one little part where you went astray. The clue for the 'Confusion' effect was actually "...wondering where she is, what she's doing, when she'll show up" And the line you had attributed to it, "I can't even remember my name", was the tenth clue, alluding to the 'Nameless' Song.

Geez, Mycroft, this is a toughie! I attribute its difficulty to its lack of locution. I'll give it a shot: The Lancer jumps up into the air, where he looks down at his prey, then drops down to the field below and delivers a chop. And in my opinion, they are a cut above the average fighter. I guess Lancer, but I think we'll need more clues eventually to slay this beast of a riddle.

Hint: What do you see with?

Despotus
04-17-2006, 04:53 PM
Maybe it's the Ahriman, with its Look of Fright attack which lowers brave by 10? It has a big eye to see with, and leaves its victim more helpless. It is a cut above the common Flotiball and "a cut below" may refer to the brave-lowering attack. You see with your eyes, but I can't think of anything offhand that includes "eye" or "my eyes" or "your eyes" in its name. Except maybe Eye Gouge and that doesn't really fit the riddle. Oh how you torture us, BG. :whimper:

feioncastor
04-17-2006, 07:26 PM
I was seriously gonna say Ahriman but I figured I'd look stupid for guessing something so far off the right answer, so I didn't say it. "I can see you" line made me think of the big eye.

BG-57
04-17-2006, 11:58 PM
It's not the Ahriman or any of the Flotiball class, but the answer does feature a single eye.

Don't the Oracle spells all have an eye in their animation? I'm not at home, so I can't test that out, but I think they all have an eye that appears and I think one of them casts Don't Move, which would explain the cut below.

BG-57
04-19-2006, 03:23 PM

Despotus
04-19-2006, 04:31 PM
Mmmmm... a single eye, eye, mmm... *checking rarer skills* Ahhh... Night Sword has the scary eye that opens above the victim and pulls a huge sword up from the ground below (I cut below). The spell quote is "Master of all swords, cut energy! Master of all swords=A cut above, perhaps? To me, that sounds pretty close to what you've described in your riddle, Mycroft. :monocle: You're sly as a fox. BG :holmes: > :mwahaha: D

04-20-2006, 12:26 AM

Despotus
04-21-2006, 08:32 AM
True, many powerful weapons could fit the riddle (especially line 3), but only one has a description that fits it perfectly. Allow me to shed a little light on one of the lines.

Shatterer of Venetian Plate.

This weapon could destroy powerful shields, with or without the 'Shield Break' Knight's skill.

Slayer of Demon predominate
None doubt that I am great
Many I've enticed to their fate

I'll leave these lines alone for now.

BG-57
04-21-2006, 07:59 PM
Chaos Blade?

Despotus
04-22-2006, 05:25 AM
The Chaos Blade has innate Regen and occasionally petrifies its target. It is a Holy Knight sword said to be from God. It doesn't fit the clues given in the riddle. There is no mention of it's ability to break shields, or slay demons; nor has it lured anyone to his/her doom. The weapon alluded to in the riddle has a description which fits the 4 parts of the riddle. Keep looking.;)

BG-57
04-22-2006, 02:29 PM
Argh! It's a Proposition Treasure!

Longibunne Spear

Legendary spear used to kill the demon who ruled the earth. This spear is said to be able to pierce any shield, many died trying to get it.

I only started looking in Propositions after you said it can break shields without using Break skills. No normally equipable weapon can do that.

But it serves a purpose
To keep rain from falling

Despotus
04-24-2006, 02:20 PM
Dang, I'm pretty sure this has something to do with the "Mountain of Rain" proposition; but since the job summary only mentions one entity, a white demon, I'll probably have to go to an older saved game file and do that proposition again to get the missing details. You're a right mean bugger, BG. :p

BG-57
04-24-2006, 02:49 PM
It's not related to a Proposition. :greenie:

Despotus
04-25-2006, 07:44 AM
Oh, ahem...erm... back to brainstorming then. :D

I don't suppose you'd drop a little hint about the last two lines? :erm: Does it relate to a rain or lightning skill?

In the meantime I'll guess Larg and Goltana. They were both posturing to be the king, and thus prevent the Atkascha reign ("rain") from falling.

BG-57
04-26-2006, 05:54 PM

conan

i actually have another guess: the two are delita and algus, and its referring to the battle at the slums of dorter city, where they "play king of the mountain", meaning they try to get to the top of the roof, and the purpose is to keep the rain of deadly arrows from falling onto your party. im aware this could be way off, but hey...BG-57, am I even close?

You are correct conan! :)

Given how much these two hate each other, it's not really suprising.

conan
05-07-2006, 09:06 PM
This is going to be a massive riddle, so brace yourself:

C + G + L + M + S + S = _ _ _ #1

HK + NK + SE + NE + SE + SK + IK + KK = _ _ _ _ _ #2 _ _ _ _

HT + A + DS + HP + SS + SD = #3 _ _ _

Z + (2 * UK) + M + BS + S + LB = _ #4 _ _ _ _ _ _

Here's an example of how I mean these:

R + A + Z + D = _ _ _ _ _ _ _

That riddle there is Ramza + Alma + Zalbag + Dycedarg = Beoulve. Now if I put

R + A + Z + D = _ _ _ _ _ #5 _ , then that letter of the word (V in Beoulve) is the answer. This one was just an example though, there is no number 5. Now for the 4 lines above, (#2 is the first letter of the two word answer, both five letters), you should get 4 letters as answers. (Note: Try typing lots of spaces between words in here, only 1 space shows up.)

Now, if you take the 4 letters in order, they are part of a character's name. So if the letters were D, C, R, G, the answer would be Dycedarg.

The character of this riddle appears in one battle in the entire game. Where is this battle?

BG-57
05-09-2006, 09:31 PM
Hidden Knife + Ninja Knife + Short Edge + Ninja Edge + Spell Edge + Sasuke Knife + Iga Knife + Kogo Knife = Ninja Sword

Heaven Thunder + Asura + Diamond Sword + Hydragon Pit + Space Storage + Sky Demon = Rafa

Zalera + 2 Undead Knights + Meliadoul + Bone Snatch + Skeleton + Living Bone = Limberry

My guess is Besrodio, who is held for ransom right before the battle in the Slums of Goug.

Alright, here's another riddle from me:

I jump high. You cannot break my equipment. I counter your attacks. I am killed, and my killer fights you with 2 others. One of them can fly later. He has a crew with him of a job you won't see in any other storyline battle. This job's skill set is used by a boss you will face. When you encounter him much earlier in the game, in the room where he is someone is killed. In the building where you see this killer before you fight him for the first time, there is someone held captive. In the last scene where you see this person, the boss there is first seen in an earlier battle. The monster from that battle has a built in support ability, which can be learned by a certain job. There is a battle where you fight 3 of these, 2 of another job, and 1 of a last job. Directly before that battle, you will have beaten a boss. That boss is later killed by you, and the battle after that has you facing a different boss. Another character in the game can use the same abilities as this boss. The place where you first see this character, there is a battle just before it, where there is a boss. Who is that boss?

I would like it if you would define 'boss' a little better. Could special classed characters like Izlude and Gafgarion be included among these 'bosses'? Or are they all demons like Hashmalum and Velius, etc?

For the moment I'm going to guess Gaffgarion is the last 'boss' that you referred to.

This reminds me that this sort of riddle was the premise of a Spanish game show I saw fifteen years ago called El Tiempo es Oro (Time is Golden). Conan the Destroyer is correct. The Crystal Tower description says something about a labyrynth around it to keep strangers (unfamiliar faces) out. You're up, conan.

conan
05-19-2006, 07:12 AM
Most characters have one of these,
I have one, but it is the smallest one in the game.
In a battle, you usually won't see generics use these;
You'll see me in chapter 1, in a room with Delita and Ramza.

Who am I, and what are the "things" I'm speaking of?

feioncastor
05-19-2006, 07:21 AM
Well, I know it's not completely battle related because Ramza and Delita are never in a room together in chapter 1 during a battle. I think all of chapter 1 battles are outdoors.

Jeez, I used to be good at this game! Seriously, there was a time when I considered myself educated in the ways of FFT... Dang...

Oh well, maybe I'll get the next one.

Despotus
05-19-2006, 10:25 AM
I'll reason that the "things" to which you refer are Support Abilities. The "smallest" of them would be Equip Change, at a cost of 0 jp. Algus comes ready with Equip Change already learned, and we see him in a room with Delita and Ramza in Ch. 1. :choc2:

conan
05-19-2006, 02:46 PM
Haha, nice guess Despotus. But anyone, generic or not, could use equip change in a battle. This "thing" is completely unique to the character, nobody else in the game has it.

Hint 1: In the one scene where you see me, three generics, Ramza, Delita and I all use these things, but of course mine is much smaller than everyone else's.

BG-57
05-20-2006, 03:00 PM
Is it word balloons?

The first scene in Gariland Academy has a conversation between two generics, then between Delita and Ramza. And Knight comes in and makes a speech and then another female Knight comes in and whispers something to the other Knight. All she says is '...' and it fills a very small word balloon.

It's nothing to do with Murond.

conan

Any reason you typed it backwards? Just trying to be fancy? Or does that actually have some significance perhaps??

Despotus
05-22-2006, 11:19 AM
I think it may be significant. I'll guess you're referring to Nogias, BG. That's "Saigon" spelled backwards and is the first level in the Deep Dungeon. The D.D. is underneath an old lighthouse. That's probably what the "under the light" line refers to.

BG-57
05-22-2006, 12:02 PM
Bah, I've been foiled again! :holmes:

Only two levels of Deep Dungeon have names that are other words spelled backwards. But Mlapan is napalm, which is not the name of a city.

The main product of the Vaccas Brewery is 'Vaccas Liquor'

This character's 11 letter name starts with an F.
This character definitely has the bare handed fighting strength of a monk.
Wherever creatures that self destruct live, this character can be found...

Who am I referring to?

BG-57
05-27-2006, 11:57 AM
I'm guessing the Flotiball; often found on the same battlefields as Bombs.

Hey, somebody set up us the bomb!

conan
05-27-2006, 06:02 PM
Very nice guess...However, the flotiball does not fit with the second line.
If anyone can solve this, it's BG-57....

feioncastor
05-27-2006, 08:36 PM
Well, it's not a specific type of monster. If it is a monster, it is a random monster name that you might find in battle, and if that is the case, it's a lame riddle.

But I doubt that is the case. There aren't many characters whose name begins with an F.

conan
05-28-2006, 02:02 AM
Look carefully over the lines Feion. You should be able to solve it......
I made it a riddle that you should know.

BG-57
05-28-2006, 01:43 PM
Conan, you are a devious so-and-so! :evilking:

The answer is EDIT feioncastor!

His name is 11 letters long and starts with an F.
His custom user title says Martial Arts Master.
His location is BG-57's Base, which of course is me.
I use a Bomb avatar and signature, which can self-destruct.

All the same, I intended this thread to be about the game, not about ourselves. I understand why you chose this riddle, though. :eep:

conan
05-29-2006, 11:58 PM
Since it's mostly me and BG-57 in this thread, I'm going to post some ideas here to help someone else along, and maybe they can finish it up.

I'm thinking it has something to do with the jobs, and unlocking an ability....like, gain 2 levels as a knight, 3 as a monk, 1 as a geomancer, 4 as something else....unlocks a job, then maybe gain 5 levels in that job to unlock an ability... but hey, I could be way off here.

The Murond Death City.

In Chapter 3 we first visit the Underground Book Storage of Orbonne Monastery, but we only see levels 2, 3, and 1 sequentially. Later at the end of Chapter 4, we return to the Orbonne Monastery and visit Book Storage levels 4 and 5 and Kletian unlocks the gate to Murond. I'd better start thinking of a new riddle...:mwahaha:

You've solved two lines of the riddle, conan, congratulations! However, the lines "four twos, to action's call, four fours," and "the mage's bane" are very important elements to solving this riddle. Keep breaking it down; you'll get it! ;)

Chocobo Chuck
06-01-2006, 01:19 AM
ok the Four Twos would refer to the Squire and the Chemist being second level to make Archer, Knight, Black Mage and White Mage.

The Four Fours would refer to Lancer, Geomancer, Meditator and Summoner being level four to make one of the posibble answers

Mime>>?
-

Despotus
06-01-2006, 01:33 AM
Good guesses. But, the four twos and fours lie beyond this character's grasp. The mime only needs lvl 8 in Chemist and Squire, and so I don't see the connection there. Conan already helped you guys along a little by guessing correctly two lines of the riddle. Take another look at his last post. ;)

Chocobo Chuck
06-01-2006, 01:34 AM
Could the "Mage's Bane" be the Rune Sword/Blade (I forgot!:p )

Despotus
06-01-2006, 01:37 AM
I should say not! The Rune Blade, with its +2 to MA, is really helpful to users of magic. A bane is a detriment, a curse, a really sucky thing that causes you to constantly suffer... for mages in this case.:p

Chocobo Chuck
06-01-2006, 01:39 AM

06-01-2006, 01:49 AM
Hey, would the line "To Actions Call" refer to the Summon ability?

conan
06-01-2006, 04:27 AM
Alright, alright. The answer to the riddle is the calculator. The four twos are the four "2" spells that can't be calculated, Haste 2, Slow 2, I forget the two others...maybe Raise 2 and Demi 2?

Four fours are 4 "4" spells, like Fire 4, Bolt 4, Ice 4, and Cure 4. Flare and Death should be in there somewhere, maybe they're not. Mage's Bane...hmm....MP Absorb? I thought that could be calculated, maybe it can't. To Action's Call....the quick spell? Either way, I think I've got it.

Despotus
06-01-2006, 08:01 AM
Yes, you've got it conan! :D

Although, I should mention that the other "2" spells you couldn't remember are Protect 2 and Shell 2; and Raise 2, Demi 2, Flare and Death can all be calculated. So the breakdown is like this:
Four twos: Haste 2, Slow 2, Protect 2, Shell 2
To action's call: Quick
Vampiric drain: Life Drain
Four fours: Ice 4, Bolt 4, Fire 4, Cure 4
The heavens fall: Meteor
The mage's bane: Spell Absorb

These 12 spells are the only Time, Yin Yang, Black, and White Magic spells that are not in the Calculator's arsenal. Your turn, Conan. Nice work!!

Beyond a hill I wander to defend a shadowy killer. (Sasuke Knife, which can be used by Ninjas, is found on the hill behind the temple)
Through deep darkness I search for Apocalyptic magic.(Nagrarock, the sword that can turn enemies into frogs. It's a play on Ragnarok, the apocalypse in Norse mythology. It is found in the cavern floor)
Over a Giant I leap toward greatest safety (You can climb over Worker 8 to a pillar to get Escutcheon (2), the best shield in the game)

The first two lines refer to the name of the dungeon. The last two lines refer to things you can find in the dungeon.

feioncastor
06-16-2006, 06:10 PM
BG, your image of a trigone looks remarkably like the greek letter "Delta", which is also the name of a floor in the DD.

Balanced across the trigone's point
Perhaps once where a river flowed
The gods themselves will beat you
If you do not bow before them

And also, a Delta in geographical terms refers to a river branching out as it flows into the ocean, hence line two.

The gods themselves will beat you probably refers to the Mace of Zeus, which I think you can find on that floor, somwhere. I'm not sure about that, but I think so.

And the last line leaves me somwhat puzzled. You used the word "bow" as in what you'd do in front of a god, but it is spelled the same as "bow" as in arrows and stuff. Is the Perseus or Yoichi bow on that floor? I know that both of those are in the DD, somehere, but it has been years since I looked for them, so I don't know for sure. Maybe I'm just crazy about that bow/bow thing.

BG-57
06-17-2006, 12:54 AM
You are correct feioncastor! The answer is Delta. :)

As you suggested, delta is a triangular Greek letter and also the mouth of a river. The Mace of Zeus is indeed a Move-Find treasure there, as is the Yoichi Bow.

I was making a really bad play on the word bow in line four. :radred:

feioncastor
06-17-2006, 10:37 AM
Which was better, Yoichi or Perseus Bow? I remember those two both being awesome in the realm of bows, but I can't recall which was actually "better"?

Well, anyway:

Longevity questioned
The blade below
You're not asleep
Is that ice, do you know?
But still, you stand
"dirt" around your knees
as still as a statue
As silent as the trees.

Not every line is ridiculously pertinent, so go with your first guess, and you'll probably have it right. It would be cool if you could actually figure how each line pertains to the answer, though.

BG-57
06-17-2006, 06:42 PM
Perseus Bow is better, with a weapon power of 16, compared to Yoichi Bow's 12. It can be found in Voyage using Move-Find.

I'm going to guess the Geomancer's Blizzard, which works on snow and ice and adds silence to attacks.

feioncastor
06-17-2006, 08:36 PM
Noppers.

Not Blizzard.

BTW, making a riddle that BG-57 or Despotus didn't figure out in one guess is quite an honor!

BG-57
06-19-2006, 03:16 AM
Heh. :greenie:

Sounds like status ailments, especially Death Sentence, Stop and Silence.

Nameless Dance?

conan
06-19-2006, 07:57 PM
I'm thinking it might have something to do with the swords...

Longevity questioned = Long Sword
The blade below = Ragnarok
You're not asleep = Sleep Sword
Is that ice, do you know? = Ice Brand
But still, you stand = Ancient Sword
"dirt" around your knees
as still as a statue
As silent as the trees.

However, those last 3 lines I'm not sure of. Also I could be way off, or I just solved 62% of it for someone....oh well.

feioncastor
06-20-2006, 12:42 AM
Excellent guesses, but not what I had in mind.

Is it time for a hint?

I will repost the riddle, fixing a few confusing things like lines and punctuation.

Longevity questioned,
The blade below,
You're not asleep,
Is that ice, do you know?
But you'll continue to stand
"buried" to your knees
as still as a statue
As silent as the trees.

conan
06-20-2006, 05:53 AM
Statis sword?

Longevity questioned, = it only has 2 range
The blade below, = it can hit below, unlimited vertical range
You're not asleep, = but you'll be stopped
Is that ice, do you know? = it looks like ice
But you'll continue to stand = because you're stopped
"buried" to your knees = "life is short, bury....statis sword!"
as still as a statue = you'll stand still when you're stopped
As silent as the trees. = you can't cast spells when you're stopped.

Am I close? :)

feioncastor
06-20-2006, 07:43 PM
Yes, it is Stasis Sword

The first line, "Longevity questioned" refers to the "Life is short" line.

And when you use it and they say something, for some reason, they call it "steady sword". Kinda weird.

"The Blade Below" references how the blade comes up from below as the ice is falling.

Good job conan! Your turn.

Is Ramza Beoulve the character who is not in chapter 2?

conan
06-21-2006, 04:59 PM
I could be wrong....but Ramza Beoulve is present THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE GAME...

feioncastor
06-21-2006, 09:23 PM
Umm, in chapter 2 he is called "Ramza Ruglia", not "Ramza Beoulve", so I thought that's what you may have been getting at.

conan
06-21-2006, 11:08 PM
I see...well no, nothing tricky like that in this riddle. What I mean is you never actually SEE this character in chapter 2, but he/she appears in the others.

BG-57
06-21-2006, 11:25 PM
The Monster hint doesn't help much, since most of them cannot enter water.

If the character with Archer reaction isn't Zalmo (with Arrow Guard), is it Zalbag (with Speed Save)?

conan
06-22-2006, 05:33 PM
Hmm...that's certainly an interesting, possible scenario.

BG-57
06-22-2006, 08:04 PM
How about names that begin with Z?

Zalbag
Zalera
Zalbag
Zorlin Shape

And if any of my guesses are correct so far, could you let me know?

conan
06-22-2006, 08:37 PM
What I will do is edit the lines to make it a bit easier. (Also I added one.) And also, all of the things are different, so for example Zalbag wouldn't be the answer to more than one line. Also, refresh my memory, what guest joins with a zorlin shape?

Off the top of my head I can only think of two bosses with an archer reaction ability, and you've already named them both, that's a pretty massive clue...

BG-57
06-22-2006, 09:01 PM
I'm not sure anyone does, I was trying to see if a Z theme fit, since Z names are rare. And both Zalmo and Zalbag have Archer reaction abilities equipped at one point in the game.

A character who appears in all chapters except 2, (Zalbag)
A monster that cannot enter water and can attack with random damage (Hydra)
A boss with an archer's reaction ability (Zalmo)
An accessory that comes equipped on a guest when they join you.(Chantage?)
An ability from the chemist class costing 400 jp (Holy Water?)

Five lines now?

conan
06-22-2006, 09:07 PM
I added a fifth line, yes. Good luck finding the right theme! You're definitely close, a few of the lines are right, but you still need the thing in common they all refer to.

BG-57
06-22-2006, 09:16 PM
Oh, is it related to Blood Suck?

A character who appears in all chapters except 2, (Elmdor can Blood Suck)
A monster that cannot enter water and can attack with random damage (Vampires can Blood Suck with Monster Skill)
A boss with an archer's reaction ability (Zalbag can Blood Suck)
An accessory that comes equipped on a guest when they join you.(Alma's Barrette protects against Blood Suck)
An ability from the chemist class costing 400 jp (Holy Water cancels Blood Suck)

conan
06-22-2006, 09:25 PM
Alma's Barette is not an accessory!!! You're wrong!! :)
Think of a guest nobody would ever use....

BG-57
06-22-2006, 09:34 PM
108 Gems then.

Algus? :eep:

conan
06-22-2006, 09:41 PM
You meant to say Malak, but yes you win, it's blood suck.

BG-57
06-24-2006, 02:59 PM
Man, that riddle Blood Sucked! ;)

Open to the sky and long since broken
But it must be used for steering
Since it doesn't hold anything up
Wonder what torque it could manage?

conan
06-24-2006, 09:14 PM
Some kind of device from Goug Machine City?

BG-57
06-25-2006, 01:40 PM
It's not related to Goug.

feioncastor

BG-57
06-26-2006, 03:45 PM
It's not the Chocobo Cannon.

conan
06-27-2006, 09:59 PM
It's something from the propositions, isn't it.

BG-57
06-27-2006, 11:46 PM

Torque is a physics term to describe the force of rotation.

feioncastor
06-29-2006, 06:06 AM
I know what torque is... That doesn't help much...

BG-57
06-29-2006, 01:59 PM

BG-57

Not Worker 8.

It's the site of a Lucavi-related battle.

Remon
07-04-2006, 06:28 PM
The Airship where you fight Hashmalum or is it this smily :screwy:(u see it's spinning)

BG-57
07-05-2006, 02:03 AM
Yeah it's the Graveyard of Airships. Specifically, the broken propeller on the sides. The Airship can still levitate without them, so it must use them for steering.

Your go, Past passado. :spin:

feioncastor, you want to take a turn?

feioncastor
07-05-2006, 11:30 PM
I can't think of anything good right now. maybe Conan or Depsotus will jump in with something.

conan
07-06-2006, 06:45 PM
Jump in I shall.

I have an ability which a squire might help me to use;
This ability can be used to attack a group of enemies, but it only hits at one height level at a time.
I can be found in an area connecting a city and a hill.
I can't enter water, and you must fight my kind in 2 different battles.

Who am I??

BG-57
07-07-2006, 12:13 AM
I'm going to guess Sacred, because their Gather Power skill works like the Squire's Accumulate, but +2 to attack power instead of +1. Also they can't enter water.

conan
07-07-2006, 10:35 AM
A good guess...but, I don't think there is actually any point in the game where you must fight a sacred. The answer to this riddle fits all lines exactly. Try again!

Also, a squire must HELP the monster use their ability...hmm.....

Massive hint which I hope you don't read: One of the two battles is optional.

BG-57
07-07-2006, 02:37 PM
OK, so it's a Monster Skill ability.

conan
07-07-2006, 05:41 PM
Yes...nice work there. And, my hint does make it pretty easy I think, but then again I probably should have included it in the original line...

BG-57
07-08-2006, 02:03 PM
Is it Triple Bracelet? You have to fight Hyrudras in the Lost Sacred Precincts and you can fight them in an optional battle at Nelveska Temple.

conan
07-08-2006, 11:13 PM
A good guess, but...can you find them in an area connecting a city and a hill?? Not to my knowledge. You are very close now, you'll probably get it with your next guess...

BG-57
07-09-2006, 03:55 PM
Goland Coal City spans between Lesalia and Grog Hill. Is it the Behemoth's Giga Flare?

conan
07-09-2006, 09:52 PM
Well, I was actually thinking Doguola Pass was between Bervenia and Grog, but Goland also works! Yes the answer is the behemoth, good work!

BG-57

Squeamishness is when you are reluctant to do something because it disgusts you.
