Kay so here's more 'bouts moi... Since some people I've gotten to know pretty quickly (methinks) over the last couple of days and there's still a lot that I -don't-........... Yeah, this is gunna be long. Maybe. Cuz I'm bored, I can't sleep, Power Rangers are finally starting to wear on my nerves - just like everyone else has been all day.
- I'm the youngest of 3 - my brother & sister are 10 & 12 years older than me, respectively. We don't get along. None of us.
- My mom had me when she was 39 (she turned 40 that March - I was born Jan. 85). My dad had just moved the fam to Tennessee to get away from his family drama (he saw our house for sale while he was gone in the truck and made an offer. heh) when my mom realized something was wrong. The doctor said I was either cancer/a tumor, or a baby. Yay for baby. He later suggested that I be tested for Down's Syndrome since it's common for babies to develop it the older the mother is. He also suggested that if the test came back positive, she should have an abortion. Obviously, my mom declined and switched doctors.
- They thought I was going to be a boy and were going to name me Fred. I thank my lucky stars I didn't turn out to be a boy. My dad called me Fred anyway as a nickname.
- When I was 2, I fell on my face and had to have my 2 front teeth pulled - the way I fell killed the nerves in my gums - my teeth didn't grow back until I was in the 4th grade (that song "All I Want For Xmas Is My 2 Front Teeth"? Yeah. The nubs became visible on Xmas Eve).
- When I was 3, I tripped over the next door neighbor's Boston Terrier & it bit a "hole" in my left cheek - I had to get 20 internal & external stitches. You can still see the main scar plain as day, but where his eye tooth caught just below it has moved over to just above the corner of my lip - it's barely visible. (side note: my dad grew up with Boston Terriers). The neighbors had the dog put to sleep after the incident. Strangely enough, I feel bad about it.
- The boxer we had at the time, PeeWee, stayed with me on the couch the entire time I couldn't play.
- According to my BF (who's a combat medic in the army), the dr's really effed up the stitch work.
- All through grade school I was made fun of for that scar. "Scarface" was the number 1 "nickname". Oh, and not having 2 front teeth. I also had silver caps. My number 2 nickname was "Snaggle Tooth". That Spring, after my teeth had fully grown in, I ran smack into a metal volleyball pole while playing tag - busted my lip, nose, and chipped one of my front teeth.
- I think that I was an ugly duckling all throughout my school years. I didn't really grow into myself until I was like 18 or 19. Before kindergarten? Yeah. I was cute as sh*t.
- I had braces. And was actually thought they were cool. I also thought it was cool when I got glasses, but I didn't have the 2 at the same time. I used to have a permanent wire glued to the back of my bottom teeth, but it popped off. The cement is still there, though.
- I also still have all 4 of my wisdom teeth. The dentist said that if they're not bothering me, then I shouldn't get them removed 'cuz it'll eff up the work my braces did.
- I'm a lefty, but I don't right like typical lefties. You know how they do - their wrist bent all weird and writing upside down. I right like a right handed person. And I actually have decent, neat, legible handwriting for a lefty (no offense to other lefties out there).
- I mostly grew up with Boxers and a couple of Poodles, but my best friend was my 1/2 Black Lab, 1/2 Newfoundland, Bozo. My dad's barber gave him to us. My parents didn't want him at first 'cuz we had so many animals already - 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a parrot. It worked out though. Our doberman ran away, someone stole the boxer, got rid of the cats 'cuz I was allergic back then, annnnnd the Parrot got pneumonia and died. It was awhile before any new animals were brought in. I had him for 14 yrs - he died when I was 17. I have his headstone in my bedroom. He was always super protective of me and would murder someone if he thought they were going to hurt me.
- Anyway.
- I'm a high school -&- 2x college drop out. I do have an actual diploma though - I went back and did a "homeschool program" & "graduated" with a 3.62 GPA. Kind of a fluke since all the tests were open book anyway, but hey, it got me into college.
- Both drop out stories are long.
- I moved to Phoenix the 1st time I got accepted into a school, but it was like diving head first in the shallow end of a pool - no bueno. It ended badly and I had to come back home to Nashville 'cuz I was pretty much homeless at the end.
- I've done all kinds of drugs except psychadelics. Started smoking pot when I was 11 'cuz my big brother got me to, got into cocaine when I was 18 and making probably too much money - did it for a year non stop, but I quit when my parents asked me to move back in with them.
- I lived on their boat for 1.5 yrs. It sucked. I also tried crack, meth, and kinda got into pain pills then.. Again, 'cuz of my brother (yep, he's probably still on drugs). I didn't like crack, snorting painkillers made no sense to me back then, but I did it anyway, 'cuz hey - free drugs. I did get strung out on meth in Phoenix though after I started dating my ex.. Stopped when I came back to TN.
- I could care less if people know about that or not. It was a long time ago, it's not who I am anymore. I can honestly say I've -never- been physically addicted to anything in my life. And besides, if I didn't tell you I used to be a major tweaker, you'd never know. XD I still gots all my pearly whites and -no- meth mouth.
- I'll still take pain killers if/when I can get them & afford it. I have a lot of back pain.
- My fav color is yellow. My Ford Focus hatchback is yellow. I nicknamed it Bumblebee. My dad has a Peterbilt 379 - the same model as Optimus Prime. His has a custom ICT sleeper on it instead of the factory sleeper. It's also an older year model than what's in the Transformers movies, I think. I pretty much like all bright colors though.
- I hate wearing jeans. I'd rather be in dresses & skirts.
- I refuse to leave the house with no makeup on.
- I love the old Care Bears movies. Always have. The last song in "Care Bears Movie II", "Forever Young", is mine and Parker's lullaby. I can't help getting teary-eyed every time. She's growing up way too quickly. Kid already has her own freaking iPad (hand-me-down from my sister, but still).
- ...... She also says I'm not allowed to have anymore kids 'cuz she's afraid I won't love her anymore... And I'm totally ok with that.
- I really don't think I ever want to get married. Divorce is too expensive if it ever happens and hate to say it, but I like keeping my options -somewhat- open. ha.
- And lastly. My boobies hurt. They're way too big for me. I'm only 5'0". My mom is 4'10"... I told her she could probably qualify for Midget Benefits or something.
