Has anybody ever managed to get the sword Excalibur 2?
I managed to get it but i kinda cheated..i didnt beat the game within 12 hours i just kept the time runnin until it passed 99 hours then it came to a reset (00:00) but it was worth it:tongue:
:mog: Wow that's cheap. I bet you ran the electricity bill up a couple hundred dollars by doing that.Quote:

uhh no just 99 hours..Quote:

cool. i never knew it reset or changed colour. is that true?
hmm...this aint right im sure it was only 99 hours..
Is the sword really worth blazing through the game (I will assume leveling is not sufficiently done) or waiting til your kids move out (in which case you learn every ability and all characters are now level 500)?
Notice the (theoretically)? That means that going by Terence's calculations, the timer keeps counting for 2 years, 98 days, 12 hours, 6 minutes, 28.2666 seconds, even though the graphical display only shows a green 99:59:59.Quote:

If you go through the game this quickly then the Excalibur II will be uber powerful because you'll be at such low levels, but otherwise it doesn't really hold it's own as a weapon. A lot of people have done this, and there are guides with people doing this in a mere 9.5 hours. On my first file, I did it in 11 hours, and on the "perfect file" one I had like 2 minutes left. I don't see how it was done in 9.5 hours, but I guess it's possible.
Not that difficult to drop it down if someone is willing to reset their PS 5000000000000000000000 times every time they dont get things done in the EXACT manner and speed they intend. Most just take that extra hour and a half in time spent where You made it through the battles but didnt get it ended as fast as possible. Plus some other explanations I simply can't think of now I am sure.
My game time reset but I already beat Hades can I still get Excalibur II?
If so where do I get it, I forgot.
I feel beating the game in 12 hours is impossible to me. Every time I replay the game, I always beat the game in 50 hours, more or less
Ace14, remember where you get the Mace of Zeus? Excalibur II is on the other side of that room.
Dead horse, but...Quote:

Yes it is, as supposed by Terence and proven by SoftReset. The timer will
change in color every 100 hours, but eventually it will "overflow" and the
time will start from 00:00:00 once again, as if you just began a new game.
Go to the Excalibur II spot and pick it up before another 12 hours expire
once this happens."
From the Atomos199 ExII Perfect Game guide.
So yeah... I've rolled the timer over using a Gameshark, and it works. ExII becomes available again. I'm actually amazed that I never saw mention of it before, because it's such a simple thing to do. Rolling it over with a Gameshark is as easy as inputting two codes. I didn't know about it before Terence mentioned it, though. Terence knew it for sure. He isn't the kind of guy to suppose anything, but he never said outright "Yes, I did it," so that's why it says supposed for him. I took screenshots and made a big deal out of it, so that's probably why I received credit for proving something that didn't need proving at all.
And as an edit to clarify, it would definitely take a little over two years for a complete roll over that would make ExII available again, not 99 hours.
What are the stats on the blade anyway?

Provides Shock and Thunder Slash.
It's a bit of a joke that Excalibur II provides skills available on all other weapons, yet Ragnarok has it's own unique skill. Then again it'd be a bit cheap to have an "uber-skill" to go with your "uber-sword".
i don't get it man. so IF you can get excalibur 2 again when the timer restarts, then why will i have to wait 2 plus years? the timer will restart at 601 hours right? so 601 divided by 24 hours (which is equal to a day) is about 24 days? right? explain more please!
oh man is that really worth it??? i got it by skipping almost everything in the game and i thought it was a waste of time
its not like theres some ultimate abillity that steiner can learn from it
id rather take my time and enjoy the game, zidanes ultimate weapon attack does 100 8 less than steiners and he has moves like shock so thats easily good enough for me

Someone's already asked that. Here's the first thing you quoted.Quote:
